RICKY HATTON insists he would love another crack at Floyd Mayweather.
Hatton was knocked out by the Pretty Boy when they met in Las Vegas last December.
But the Manchester ace has not given up hope of facing boxing's greatest pound-for-pound fighter once again.
He said: "Losing my first fight in 44 was a very bitter pill to swallow.
"But I would fight him again, even though he knocked me out."
Hatton, 29, managed to keep his cool in the build-up to the fight despite Mayweather's trash talking.
And the Hitman claims the American is not as cocky as he seems.
THE BEST ... Floyd Mayweather
He added: "Floyd has texted and phoned me a few times. He wants to come over to Britain and watch one of my fights.
"He even said to me, 'Athough I have proved I am the best, I would give anything to have the love of the fans like you have'.
"Being the way Floyd is, it must have been hard for him to give me a compliment like that.
"He has certainly gone up in my estimation."
Hatton is still considering his next move following the brutal 10-round defeat at the MGM Grand.
But he is ready to box again after coming to terms with the mistakes he made against the WBC welterweight champion.
Hatton said: "It was a good performance. After five or six rounds I thought I was going to win the fight, until I got a bit frustrated by the referee.
"It was break, break, break every five seconds — I never thought I would get into a fight and be scared of hitting my opponent.
"I lost my rag, I lost my composure that little bit and that's the difference when you are fighting someone like Floyd.
"But there are no hard feelings. I moved up a weight division and fought the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world."
I have plenty of :bottle: :bottle: :bottle:!
Well let's hope not...your wife should be breast-feeding.
My wife,a certified mid-wife would highly recommend it.
And may your baby grow strong, wise and beautiful...hopefully taking full after the mother.
But please, you feel free to use the bottles...
I haven't been on here lately as my wife and I just had a baby, but it's good to see that raycorey still doesn't have a hobby.

What do you guys wont him to do??? I would rather Hatton get up again after his loss and have another go at it..Its the right way to do it as far as I'm concerned..Or Would you rather he walked away like Naz did!! Fuk that hes doing the right thing asking for a rematch..Shows his got the balls and he still wonts to win this fight if it ever takes place..We all no that he got K.O and we all no the ref was bent!!! It would be a good fight, I would defs pay to se this fight again..
""squealpiggy Congratulations m8""
That's true...maybe they could use the referee that did the Hatton/Kosta Tszyu fight.
Bet you think he was real fair....:bottle: :bottle:
LOL the ref in that fight was a disgrace, Hatton could have got away with bringing a cutlass into the ring that night, His name was Dave parris and him along with Mickey Vann referees 90% of Hatton's fights when he was fighting BUMS on in MEN arena while defending his WBU belt.

On the other hand that was a great post. Well done. I looked up "genius" on Wikipedia and saw your picture, well done.
Maybe Hatton will never stand a chance against Floyd, but it would be interesting to see how things would pan out without the obviously biased refereeing.

get with the times.
frloyd: I will do anything to have the love of the fans like you Ricky.
Hmmm, interesting. would he even throw a fight in Wembley? and put on a phony act of humility and grace towards Ricky so he can have the love of the fans. fraud experienced the Hatton fan experience up close and now he wants some of that. his ego wants that kind of true love, not the yes men he has all around him and the indifference he gets from USA fans. floyd is an unloved great. he wants to be loved. but only real people, real warriors earn that. fraud will have to fight Cotto take his savage beating and show class to Cotto. throwing a fake loss to Hatton will only show more proof he is a PHONY. and nobdoy likes a PHONY nobody
How many times are we going to have to go over this? Floyd won emphatically and it was never really a competitive contest. A rematch will never happen unless Hatton ko's Cotto and Witter. Please watch the fight closely again, there was some infighting of which Hatton got the worse of. Mayweather is simply the superior fighter, a far better pedigree, its that simple.
If Hatton stuck to a game-plan of not head-hunting and actually trying to go for the body. I'd give him better odds. I'd still have Mayweather as a very strong favourite though. I'd say that Hatton would maybe beat Mayweather one or two times out of ten and that would require an immaculate performance that you simply cant expect to put together every time. If Hatton fought to the head like he did in the first fight, I dont think that he'd ever beat Mayweather.
Either way, I think that Hatton should move onto new things and not look for a rematch. Thats not to say that I think that he even is actively LOOKING for one. I just think that everyone is asking him about it.
I think Hatton is still binge drinking, He needs some psychological help after the KO he suffered, He shows NO class complain about how he was scared to hit a fighter..Yeah right Ricky, Face facts or sick some counselling..YOU got KTFO...deal with it.
Nonsense. Hatton shows a lot of class towards Mayweather. He gives an honest assessment in that he thought that the fight wasnt well refereed (which most people who saw the fight agreed with, Hatton fans or not?) and that he lost his head and let his gameplan go to pot. He also publicly talks about how classy Mayweather has been to him since the fight, which makes both of them come across very well indeed. It's pleasing to hear that Floyd can have the humility and class to support his talent. Shame he doesnt let us see it more often.
I don't see the point in a re-match,the gulf between the two was very clear and nothing is going to change that.
You can change referees,locations,whatever...but nothing can change the fact that Mayweather is simply better.
But....I don't see the need for a Dela Hoya/Mayweather rematch either, other than to line their pockets again...greedy bastards.
i know what the title of the thread is. I'm just saying the way your talking seems like you think its gospel and its aimed at no one imparticular. Basically SHUT YA TRAP!
Another uneducated casual sports fan, listen my man, Floyd was fighting for a wbc title against a tough legitimate champion after 1 year as a pro, he has been at the pinacle of his sport since then. Floyd Mayweather beating Ricky Hatton in Vegas, Manchester or on the Moon in a 10 foot ring with Ray Hatton as ref is just about as gospel as you can get
