I know he stated on FNF Pavlik, Hopkins, Joe Cal, De La Hoya and Jermain Taylor.
I didn't catch the order but I think it was..
1)Joe Cal
2)De La Hoya
3)Hopkins
4)Pavlik
5)Taylor
He called De La Hoya out calling him a chicken and shit saying he needs to fight him? but Roy's the bigger bitch for wanting to fight someone who is much smaller in De La.. I guess even Roy realizes that he can't pull money like Oscar so he has to stoop low like everyone else who's broke calling him out. Roy your better then that!
I personally think he hasn't got 5 fihs left in him, hes wearing down every ime yu see him really... but we'll see he's a great fighter still i know that, but i don't think that he's ot 5 fights left.
I missed FNF but Roy Jones is still calling out Oscar, even on the air?
I think that is pathetic.
I don't know why. It's called a payday. He thinks him and Oscar would reak ppv sales so that's the fight he wants to make. It's more of a business move than a boxing match.
what the hell???????????
RJJ
Yes we did (asking for DLH), and they said no he does not want to get into the ring with me. I took gambles for the history of game. Why won’t these guys take gambles like I did? These guys call themselves pound for pound this and that, but they aren’t willing to risk nothing. I knew after coming down from heavyweight that I wasn’t right, and I would probably have to take a loss or two, but I went up for the good of the game and for the challenge. Why is he so scared? Why am I the only one who takes these chances for the good of the game? Even if you get your ass whooped, your not losing. Just do it for the cause. (Laughing)…
But they said no regarding De La Hoya, but maybe Hopkins down the road
this iswhat RJJ said !! and he is 100 % correct !
Yeah, Jones is known for taking gambles in his career. The only reason he fought Ruiz is to say he was a HW champion by beating the one of the worst paper champions ever. Then Roy ducked a real gamble by not fighting his mandatory Vitali Klitschko, or challenging Lewis and Sanders.
DLH was completely dwarfed by Hopkins in their fight and was stopped the first and only time in his career. Hopkins just went up 15 pounds, but he also started his career at LHW, and he was a huge middleweight (in those days at least, they're getting much bigger these days.) The DLH/Pac fight was supposed to take place at 147, 17 pounds higher than Pac had ever fought, and this is a guy who won a title at 112 lbs, not too cool in my book.
he may have been dwarfed but took some of the early rounds and just got hit with a perfect bodyshot.
roy jones was like 190 against a 225 ruiz. b-hop may be big , tarver is a lot bigger.......all im saying a roy jones DLH fight isn't that much of a stretch roy jones startted out at 154 , oscar had great succes at 154 , and besides don't people think roy is past his prime he couldnt stop tito etc etc ..... I would love to see RJJ whoop on him.
hell if they make weight then why the hell not? it happens all the time , people say DLH started out in 130 but he fought b hop at 160 ! if you are a PFP great at some point of your career you should start taking risks IMO , like many fighter already do and did. b-hop just moved up 15 pounds !

So you're cool with DLH fighting Pacquiao? I mean DLH fought at 130, right?

Well tonight he said the lowest he would go is 166.
Anyways... a fighter who started at 130 fighting a fighter who won a heavyweight title...
I see something seriously wrong with that.
i missed that
oscar never should have started at 130 in the first place ...
roy fought at 154-160 too. roy said he would be willing to make 154 just for fun lol. tito trinidad had the balls to do it ....

Because one weight class separated them as opposed to the three for Jones and Oscar.
Also... Oscar = ineffective at 160.
How the fuck is he going to be ineffective at 168 fighting a guy who won a heavyweight title at one point?

the bigger bitch for wanting to fight DLH??? then why the fuck wanted DLH to fight floyd?????

its pretty obvious that roy would fight anybody anytime . hes 38 (i think) , he calls out pavlik , taylor everybody ....so what if he called out DLh ! , DLH fought at 154-160 before , so has roy !

What about Winky Wright? I think Roy should call him out. Roy would beat him. Winky doesn't have any power for Roy to worry about.
Joe C. beats Roy easy.
Oscar fight isn't happening....ever.
Hopkins would make sense but IMO it would be boring.
Taylor and Pavlik I'm not sure. I think because of their power they could hurt Roy, but I can also see Roy winning decisions against both. If I had to bet, I say they beat Roy.
I'm not a big Roy fan, but if he wants to beat a fighter with a name, I say it should be Winky.
I'm a little upset that Winky has fallen off the face of the earth, it seems, when it comes to big names mentioned for fights. He put on a great showing against Taylor I thought, and arguably won that fight. Against Hopkins (who everyone is claiming old and washed up, but he sure didn't look that way against Wright 6 mo ago) I think he did pretty well considering his eye was split open from a headbutt (intentional imo) pretty early, rd 3 I think, and since he was fighting 10 lbs above any weight he'd fought before, 16 lbs above his best weight. I still think he gives anyone a tough fight at 160 and could easily win a title at 154 if he could still make the weight.
me from another thread :
i like how he wants to fight DLH before taking on hopkins in rematch. roy going after a guy who proved that he has no business fighting in any weight past 154 or 147 for that matter........
i know he wants calzaghe but what if hopkins beats calzahge? would roy still want to fight DLH before he would go after hopkins???
and what if calzaghe blows hopkins out of the water??(which i doubt) but would roy really want that kind of a fight? or would he still pursue DLH???
his list is a good list, minus DLH, there is no reason for that at all.........Jones-DLH what a joke of a fight........

Well, i'm not a nerd like you. I don't spend my time watching crap all the time, I got girls unlike you. :owned:
So, you are making fun of me for being a dedicated boxing fan?
If that's the case, what the fuck are you doing on a boxing forum?
Just admit, you talked out of your ass, it's not a big deal.
