i had fight one a draw. im just happy i was able to witness such an epic battle.

morales was waaay flashier than espadas.....espadas was active and landed a nice shot here and there but for the first 8 rounds Morales always stole the close rounds and won lots of em clearly....even espadas' corner told him he was down and needed a KO going into the last round...also people were dissapointed that morales decided to box a lot more than before... i I though Espadas pulled it off but that's my opinion. Who is the public's favorite fighter in Mexico? Is it the Marquez bros.,Arce,Chavez jr,Castilo,Vasquez or Kahwagi(HAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

morales 114-113...... teh only way he lost that fight is because of teh BS knockdown... yeah...sad thing is i catch people saying barrera won the 5th... after morales wore his ass out for 2:00 and barrera landed that series of punches that gave jim lampley an orgasm. the phantom knockdown was a nasty blemish on a great fight. barrera won that round easy anyway... 114-113 morales was spot on.

ol i disagreed with all three results. i definately think barrera won the first one, although i think morales nicked the last two. In my opinion the trilogy should have had a completely different outcome amazing though it was You are the first person I have ever heard say that they scored the rubber match for Morales.

I had the first one Barrera, the second to Morales and the third to Barrera. The judges only got the third one correct IMO. thats the way i see it...

I just rewatched it. An amazing fight but they gave the wrong guy the decision. I had it 115-112 for Barrera and I still don't know how they gave it to Morales after a 10-8 round for Barrera in the 12th. It's ashame great fights have to leave fans with a bad taste in there mouth because of robberies. No way that can be classified as a "robbery". A robbery is when one fighter totally dominates the fight and they call it the other way. I had Barrera winning that fight as well but it was a very close fight. Classic match up that is one of the better fights of that decade.

The Barrera story about it was from the Countdown to Marquez vs. Barrera... it may be in other places too, but that is where I heard it. ya thats where i heard it too, thanks for reminding me...no doubt i need to find that, i speak spanish so its all good

I think i remember Marco saying that after the fight, Erik walked into his locker room and gave him something and told him that he (barrera) really won the fight. anyone know more about that, or where i heard it, it had to have been on a Countdown or something. -Hyperion- said that Morales told a newspaper that was a fucking lie.
