Is there a boxer you couldn't stand but have somehow come to like them or vice versa you liked them but now you hate them? Personally I wasn't much of fan of Wladimir Klitschko but i re watched a lot of his fights and he's grown on me.
A few years back, I hated Miguel Cotto and felt the only reason he was undefeated was because his handlers were were carrying him. It felt as if the Puerto Ricans were trying to hurry up and replace Tito. Now it's obvious that they knew he wasn't quite ready at the time. I love his aggression and body attack and he deserves a shot at Mayweather, who I will never like.
Zab Judah, I had to stop rooting for him, I was losing money after fights, learned to just bet on FLoyd. I met both of them on S. Beach a year before they fought too. They were chilling, Zab was walking all around and Floyd was kickign it with us on the bench just bullshitting. I was a Judah fan at the time and I can't front I wasn't that familiar w/ Floyd, I just knew him from that Raekwon video
after being a fan for years....
i realize how much of a douche oscar is everytime i watch his career from tito on
I agree, I still am an Oscar fan....but after watching all of his fights again, it looks like he's a robot! lol and then after he loses complains.. And then he fights Forbes....
No, but sometimes I have a change of heart on boxing in general.
Sometime its hard to understand why its called a sport... I mean you can have an up and coming fighter who is 20-0 who fights an opponent with a 23-4 record, they win that fight and then fight someone who is 11-25-10 its why boxing isnt mainstream, but I hang in there because some matches do happen that make up for the crappy bouts.
I was rooting against both Miranda and Taylor when they fought Pavlik. I still back Pavlik over both men but after such great wars and incredible class they're both listed in my fav fighters. I feel like Taylor has tons of pride, and the right kind of pride. Not the kind that causes you to run around overhyping yourself and degrading your opponent.
Jermain Taylor. I used to hate him, but I liked the performance he put up against Pavlik. He showed a lot of heart and you knew he was focused all the way through.
I don't really like him, but I don't hate him anymore.
i didn't like lacy at first because he was all mouth. well most boxers are, but after watching him in interviews and on certain stuff about his background etc i can see he is a really nice guy. anyway i like lacy because in that fight where he was getting his assed kicked he kept on trying. everything went wrong for him, but he stood there. he took the punches and tried to come back. that got my respect because it takes a lot of heart to carry on like that.
I love this perspective. Great post. When I get my karma-giving properties back, this one's getting some green.
I came into boxing about 7-8 years ago and was just really a casual fan. I did'nt become a big fan until around 2004-05 and i really disliked Roy Jones. Because i was new to Boxing i was just basing it off his record and Johnson and Tarver. People were telling me how he is the most talented boxer of all time and i was'nt buying it i then saw a lot of his fights in his prime and was shocked at how easy he brushed his competition off and although people called them bums he just made them look like bums he never even lost rounds in his prime. My view on Jones changed and i consider him the most talented Fighter i have ever seen and in his prime almost UNBEATABLE
I may be starting to lose interest in paulie malignaggi. I went down to mohegan sun and watched the Lovemore Ndou fight... I loved paulie for what he did in the ring against cotto, broken bone in his face and he fights a full 12 rounds against cotto? that says alot... But lately i am not sure, though he fought well against Ndou i dont consider lovemore the greatest competition... Im not sure sure after the ndoujo (or however you spell it) fight if Paulie really is top of the JW division and capable of beating a guy like hatton, if he shows up like he did against ndoujo... hes gonna be in for a long night on the canvas
After his last fight he said He will never be the same after fighting Miguel Cotto, LMAO!!!!
Jermaine Taylor about 3 times. I liked him at first, then I just didn't really care for the guy b/c he got some P4P talk a while ago and I always said this big ass dude and can't knock anyone out!!!! But now another change b/c he fights great competition, he will fight anyone anytime and that I like in a fighter, but with that said GO PAVLIK!!!!
Used to like DLH since the Chavez fight but fighting Steve Forbes is the last straw.
haha yeah it seems like there have been a lot of changes of heart on DLH he's kinda liek mayweather to me i was never a fan i respected him in his hayday but this mayweather II shit is pushing it

oh yeah of course. I was the biggest Mayweather hater and now I am the biggest Mayweather fan.
thats cool i've always been indifferent to floyd, I don't like him so much as i respect him
I was at this Solo Boxeo a long time ago, Morales little brother was fighting so the crew was interviewing him. At the boxing event's they have tables set up where venders sell boxing gloves, fighter pictures, ect,ect...
So people are buying gloves and waiting patiently for Morales to finish his interview(Its a Solo Boxeo so its all Latino/Mexican fans) there is a line of fans waiting for autograghs and maybe a picture.
After Morales gets done with the interview, he runs to the back of the place, where security dosen't allow any fans to get to him. It was pretty gay.
Other times Ive seen him, people try to talk to him or get an autogragh and he pretty much blows them off.
aww that sucks man
