The link is that once they had tests to prove people using the shit that Balco were producing was going to be available that RJJ suddenly dropped in form over night. Roy Jones made 1 mistake and it was against one fighter, there is no proof that he did it in any other fights. People seriously act like it was the biggest fight of his career and he beat an all-time great while doing it.

A simpler explanation of why Roy tested positive for an illegal substance / over the sports allowed limit....he used more than the allowed limit for his sport. Pretty cut n dry there :p It is commendable that Roy and his legions come up with reasons / excuses for hs cheating; wether wittingly or not he broke the rules. This same kind of excuse laden behavior showed up after he Kayo'd ice Griffin when Griffin was down. Fact is Roy got caught but did himself good by being reasonably honest and not going over the threshold again. I have a hard time buying the whole "I was not aware of..." mentality.

I think I have a legitimate argument. Many reported Roy tested positive for the steroid Andro. ESPN also reported thats what Richard Hall tested positive for aswell. Roy said it was from Ripped Fuel. Everyone said Ripped Fuel doesn't have anything that would make you fail for an anabolic steroid. Thats true if your talking about the plain Ripped Fuel. But it turns out there was also a Ripped Fuel back then that did in fact contain Andro. Its discontinued now as Andro is now not allowed to be sold OTC.

Steroids do improve a fighter and do you know why? Because it allows for them to train much harder for longer periods of time. It also improves strength and ability to take punishment. No-one is saying that Jones didn't have natural ability but if you couple that amazing natural talent with Steroids then you get Superhuman talent. Stop trying to make out that STeroids cannot improve a fighters performance. Because if they didn't they would NOT be BANNED! true but I'd just like to point out that steroids effectively let you train longer but the means they do it in is by speeding up the recovery of you muscle's after training therefore they allow you to build alot more muscle in alot less time but the problem with that is Roy would have to have taken steroids for a lot longer than just a pre fight period for the effects to be noticable meaning he should have failed every drug test which i don't think he did. Although progressive use of steroids over a long periods of time does prove that it could have been the cause for 6X the legal amount.
