i coulda sworn that there was a thread a couple weeks ago that said that tito was already at 170... so how the hell does he miss it now even by two tenths. i dont think he has been training all that hard for this one.
Water weight that's all. You can go up or down several pounds by just the amount of water you have in you. It really doesn't mean much, the thing you need to look at is, how does Tito look. Is he solid or flabby, is he slow and lathargic or wuick on his feet.
Those things tell you much more than actually being 2 10ths of a pound over.
I wouldnt take that washed up excuse for shit, simply becuase the man put his name on the contract, anyhow the way to beat Tito is the way Winky and Nard did it, make Tito move back, However Jones in his entire career has never pushed anybody back he has always moved away so it will be interesting to see what happens to Roy when he trys that.
Lead right hands will be the key for Roy and I wouldnt be surprised to see Roy fight south paw a bit to off set Tito.
The last time I saw Trinidad fight he looked washed up (not meaning to discredit Winky). That was three years ago I don't see any indication he can reverse that if Roy has anything left at all.
Nard didn't push Tito back until the later rounds. He first let Tito expend his energy by allowing him to come forward, be aggressive and waste plenty of punches. Hopkins boxed and counter-punched throughout much of the first six rounds. Once he felt Trinidad weakening, he took over.
hmmmmmm, maybe good plan for who BHOP is fighting next. haha

I thought he looked like shit, but he had plenty of time to train and should have no excuses other than being totally washed up.

I'm sure Trinidad's in fine shape. I hope this is not an excuse if Roy absolutely dominates him, lol.

What's all this bullshit about gloves, Roy Jones has knocked out, and been knocked out by Grant gloves, this doesn't mean anything other than the fact that Roy likes Grant gloves:

The weigh in is done, lets see the fight now, as I said before Jones shouldnt have to put in any over time in this fight, he should be able to get Tito out of there quickly, However the new glove issue, seems to me that Jones has doubts about his ablity to take a shot, its not good to have those issues in your mind going into a big fight, he has had two soft fights since lossing his third fight with Tarver and we all know what happend to Jones since he moved down in weight after beating Ruiz.
I have a feeling that I might be wrong about Tito, I hope to god I am but I am sticking with the skills in this fight.
I don't understand the glove problem...
The contract calls for Everlast gloves, but now Roy wants Grant gloves. He'll end up doing what he needs to so he can get paid.
lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!r u 4 real?
I think your fooling yourself, it may be his biggest fight popularity wise, but ahhh Felix Trinidad can't beat Roy Jones's last 2 opponents because he's not powerful enough
as I said in my prediction Roy should stop Tito early, if he has anything left in him he will get Tito out in the first three rounds, However this is not typical Jones Jr behavior I have never seen him like this, meaning I think for him to go out of charector and lose his grip like that clearly states he has doubts about what he has left, weather or not he does have something left that isnt the issue in this sport if you doubt yourself you wont get very far thats for sure.

How is that possible?
