Mayweather vs Barrera & Morales

It's me showing the right hand, so they won't see the left coming. I hear alot of good things about Rodriguez, but haven't seen him fight yet. Oh shit remind me to keep my guard up. Oh I was just wondeing because an article on BS says he was nationals champion at the 165 pound division in 06 and I am pretty sure DJ owned that division.

mab is too small and cautious... morales is too straight.... floyd wouldve KO'ed Barrera in like 4 like he did against small opponents.... he woould beat mrales down to an easy ud victory(morales is a big guy with great chin, so i think he could take the shots for 12...)

Now consider the size difference between Mayweather and De La Hoya, OK? How many rounds would Morales and Barrera last against De La Hoya? Not many. Morales and Barrera were great against opposition around their ages and sizes, but a fight with Mayweather would be completely different from anything they'd seen in the pros. Mayweather was way too fast, too powerful, and too big for either guys. Particularly Morales, who stood too straight up and would've been an easy target. That would've turned out like the Corrales fight. Morales needs a body in front of him to be at his best and Mayweather wouldn't be in front of him. PBF's last fight at 130 was in 2001. BOTH Morales and Barrera reached 130 later on. If they faced off at 130, PBF would have toyed with them or stopped them. This is not because PBF is a better fighter (which he is by the way), but rather because he was young, decently big for the weight, with speed, power, with a ring generalship rarely seen in a 21-24 years old fighter, but well testified in all of his performances. On the other hand Morales and Barrera were on the downside of their careers and would have been phisically smaller than Mayweather. These would not have even been tough fights. You mean someone could have cashed in big on their names?!?! Why didn't anyone else think of that? P4P #2, what?

Prime or not, Mayweather beats these both of them. Split decisions maybe but a win nonetheless.

Floyd was still too green for them. But he had a big chance to KO them as well with speed I think he could win by KO but if Morales and Barrera played there gameplan quit well with the young Floyd they would have won. remeber Morales and Barrera at SFW is not there best class weight it was there ending in there career. and prime vs prime it definity FloydWhen was Floyd too green for them? Anyways, Floyd never fought at Featherweight, he started at Super Featherweight and fought there until 2001, when Morales and Barrera were still at 126, and he was at 135 and 140 by the time they fought at 130. So they never could've fought. Prime for prime though, at 130, he would've beaten any of them, Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Pacquiao, etc.

huh??? I'm at a loss here, how exactly was Floyd stronger than Pac. He couldn't even permanently knock down Chico. PBF knocked him how many times? 4-5 times? And not once was Chico wobbled. He even easily got up from the last knockdown and was so pissed that his team threw in the towel when he can still clearly fight. I'm sorry but that kind of showing DOES NOT compare to Pac who ACTUALLY has a One Punch-KO Power and actually scored KO wins over a guy who has never been KO'd in his illustrious career(Morales). And thats not a slight on Morales, that's actually a compliment on his awesome chin. Because only Pac ever did that to him, no one else. So no, SFW Floyd COULD NOT and WOULD NOT KO Morales even if his life depended on it. Floyd would have to have Pac's power to ever do that, but sadly he does not. You might argue that Floyd is faster, is more skilled, has better ring generalship, better movement than Pac. But Pac has more power than him. Please don't make PBF a God or something because he's not. He had and still has his own flaws. All that I wrote here also applies to the Baby-Faced Assassin. And again, I'm NOT talking about SFW EM and MAB. Some of you guys are crazy. This would have been a huge mismatch. I cant believe that you think that Floyd was scared of them. Some think Floyd was the greatest 130 pounder of all time. MAB or EM dont have one single advantage on Floyd. Name one. They D isnt even close, the speed isnt close espically at 130, and at that weight Floyd was definatly the harder puncher. Its crazy for you guys to think that Floyd wouldnt take this fight. He's scared of them but not scared of a Chico who was undefeated, Knocking out everyone like Foreman, and was coming into the ring at a 147 pounds? Get real. Dougie Fischer is the biggest Floyd hater/ Pac lover there is and even he says that Floyd would KO Pac within 5 rounds at that weight. He hits harder then Pac at that weight. You have to remember that Pac is knocking out guys but there all small guys who moved up. Its not like he's knocking out the guys who were already at 130. You also have to remember that Floyd fought at 130 when there were a ton of great fighters. Floyd had his last fight at 130 in November of 01. EM didnt come up to 130 until October of 03 and MAB didnt come up until November of 04. When EM had his 1st fight at 130, Floyd was having his last fight at 135. When MAB was having his 1st fight at 130, Floyd was having his 2nd to last fight at 140. They were really in different weight classes all together and no one really talked about the fights because pretty much everyone thought Floyd would kill them. Even though both MAB & EM were legends, no one was going to give them a chance to beat Floyd after the way he ran through guys like Chico, Manfredy, Chaves, and Hernandez. Also, someone on here was talking about Morlaes boxing. Floyd might lose one day but it damn sure wont be because someone outboxed him. If you think EM cant win a brawl then he has no chance at all. So mayweather was a Ko artist back then? Your forgot that Morales and Barrera had great chins back in their prime... KO my ass... They would have been alright fights. Not great and I really don't think either would end in a KO. It's possible but unlikely. The only problem here is that neither Morales or Barrera were actually that great at this weight. There prime years were well before moving into SFW. They were of course very good but we're talking about fighting Mayweather here. If Mayweather was smaller and older I do believe Morales would have had a very, very good chance of beating him. Morales had a good chance of beating anyone in his prime, as did Barrera. I think Morales had the skills as well as the necessary speed and fire power to do some good work. Barrera was an animal in his prime also and his combination punching was P4P some of the greatest of the last two decades without a doubt. At times Barrera was one of the best fighters I've seen. Great all around skills and the ability to beat just about anyone with any style. Nonetheless, if these two fought Mayweather at SFW when he was there it would have ended in a UD decision for Mayweather, both fights. This is a good post. I was talking about 2000-2002 Mayweather vs 2000-2002 Morales and Barrera when Floyd was still at SFW and the 2 were already fighting at Featherweight. I was talking about that time when MAB and EM were actually in their prime and PBF was nearing his prime.

but if Morales wanted to Box he could win him because that time Mayweather was abit green for good boxer and Morales was pretty good boxer You're not making much of an argument with the "Green" b.s. Mayweather beat, and KO'ed many a good fighter at 130-135. This isn't even a contest. :nonono:

As much as people want to believe that Morales and Barrera and not KOable but PAc and Junior Jones KOed Barrera with speed and abit of power. Pac power stayed at SFW and if he goes up he loses some but Mayweather went up into weigh yes he is not the punch of 130 but he hurt couple of people in the weighclass.
