Why won't Hatton fight Witter???

Hatton should fight Witter by the end of they year, but Hatton has just come off a loss the best fighter in the world. I would really like to see Witter-Malignaggi unify with the winner getting a fight against Hatton. I totally agree .

Hatton can make more money fighting Maliganggi. There's one good reason. I'm really not sure that is true.

I definitely agree with the bold part I agree with this also. Nothing wrong with Ricky and Junior matching up after 1, maybe 2 more fights for each. And maybe it would help Junior's cause to bring a scalp like Malignaggi's to the table. Or would it? That's what people are wondering. Is there anything Junior can do to get a fight with Ricky? Ricky already told Junior he was happy to fight him, on live TV. Hasn't happened, even with Frank Warren out of the way. As yet, no real noises from the Hatton camp to indicate it will happen. The point is, if Junior's next 1 or 2 fights keep him on course, then Hatton/Witter needs to get made in the next 12-18 months. For Junior's career, yes, he benefits greatly, but also for Ricky's rep, which would take a dent from retiring having avoided his #1 domestic challenger for years.

What has Witter done to deserva a shot at Hatton? Beating an old man Corley? Hatton just came off of a loss to the p4p best fighter in the world, I don't see nothing wrong with taking a tune-up. Thats the thing, there is no other options at 140. There is no "what did he do..." The only better option is Malignaggi. So Hatton has to fight one or the other within the next year before people start questioning his status at 140. You can only live off the Tszyu win for so long. A tune-up is no problem, it's what he does after. He should at least be giving Witter some consideration though. Until then I love the fight with Torres if they can do it.

Witter called out Malignaggi to fight and since then Paulie's camp had nothing to say about Witter, Paulie mentioned in an interview as well Witter is a very dangerous fighter and the biggest threat at 140. Name me two fighters that Witter beat around that time better than those two. Hatton was fighting guys like Tackie and Phillips who operated at world level without ever being world class themselves so it was clear what he was building up to. You can try and convince yourself that the European fighters, who are presumably not bums but the cream of the crop held back by their country of origin, were of a higher standard than Hatton's opponents but anyone who knows anything about that circuit will recognise that as a lie. Really? Maybe you would like to outline those variables and explain what makes them different. Top of the list, is that Floyd Mayweather -- after passing through 5 weight classes and beating many of the best along the way -- has no obligation to fight Miguel Cotto or anyone else at Welterweight. He has done what he said he would do. His stated objective never was to clean out the welter division. At this stage, Floyd is well within his prerogative to step back. Actually, so is Ricky. But he has declared his desire to continue to dominate in the weight class he is famed for reigning over. That means fighting the main challengers to his supremacy. Malignaggi, Torres and, yes, Junior Witter.
