Why does everyone hate on calzaghe so much?

I am a fan of Calzaghe and am American but I didnt drink the cool aid so I am still capable of having my own thoughts.

He's stepped up his opposition in the last couple years, and now moving up in weight to face The Ring champ @ 175. I no longer dislike Joe. Agreed, I was a bit sceptical of Calzaghe at first because he took that Manfredo fight rather than the Kessler fight. When he took that fight and managed to win it I gave him respect.

Joe has a lot of fans around here. Hopkins gets more hate then Joe does anymore since he beat Kessler. Hopkins deserves it the racist fuck he has no class what so ever

If we are being honest, everyone thinks their favorite fighter doesn't get the respect they deserve. Fans get very defensive about their favorite fighter. Human nature I suppose.

As far as I've seen, Joe Calzaghe is one of the most respected Boxers in this forum.
