If Hatton didn't balloon up so much inbetween fights could he make 135? he was 145 for the Mayweather fight and he was ripped it looked like he packed on a lot of extra muscle so i think if he tried he could make 135. If David Haye can shave off 20 pounds of muscle to get to cruiser, surely a focused Hatton that didn't balloon up could make 135?
Just a thought......It must be damn amusing to watch Hatton struggle at the start of a training camp, running around, sweating and panting with all that excess blubber.
I think Juan Diaz could easily make 130 is he shaves off his "puppy fat" there is definatly more than 5 pounds of fat on Juan Diaz. This is just a testiment tojuan Diaz's success as he has managed to become a great champ at 135 while he has all that fat on him.
He could be a Featherweight.

i think even if he stayed healthy it would be a struggle, but with his kebab and stella post fight diet it would leave him fuc*ed.
i'd like it if juan diaz moved up and ricky fought him at junior welter.
Hatton started fighting at 140 and he has to sweat to make that weight now. No way he compromises himself at this point in his career by dehydrating to a dangerous level.
The spirits aren't the problem. Its the beer and the food that kills him.
It's bad enough Hatton drops down to 140 from blimping out to almost 200. 135 might be life threatening.
I think way too much is talked about when it comes to Hatton ballooning up between fights. Sure, it's going to affect his longevity but then so does his style. He was never going to fight much beyond 30 as his style would never allow it. And he's clearly mentally well off for doing what he does.
And he promised his mum that he wont fight past 30-31

It'll take him a while after the 57 pints, combined with the amount of vodka, whiskey and whatever else he put in himself over the New Year celebrations!
