And of course there are a thousand belts all over the world so this is only for the 5 main titles:WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, RING.
My pick is Enzo Maccarinelli(WBO Cruiserweight). Cuz I don't think he has ever fought any top 50 cruiserweights. I have absolutly no idea how he has that belt, but he does.
Worst title holder is WBA light heavy champion Hugo Garay.
That followed by Zsolt Erdei and Chris John. Omar Navarez too.
It really pisses me off when people rack up defenses when fighting nobody.
lol, that is a terrible choice. as much as I think wlad is a terrible #1 hw compared to the past greats, he is definitley not the worst title holder. you say it pains you to say this cuz you like him? I doubt that very much.First of all, you don't know me well enough to pass judgement on my integrity. Liking and criticizing someone is not mutually exclusive. That said, Wlad seems like a nice enough fellow one could share a beer with, but as a fighter, he leaves a lot to be desired.
I concede that he may not be "the worst" but given that I havn't seen every single title-holder in the ring, I can only opine on one I've seen; and of those I've seen, he's the worst! Wlad's way too tentative and cautious against bums, when he should be unleashing two-fisted barrages.
Wladimir Klitschko. He's just a big Palooka with little (if any) boxing skills. It pains me to say this because I like the guy! He only has two weapons in his arsenal. A left paw (not a jab) and a right cross (in the broadest sense of the word). He couldn't uncork a left hook or an uppercut to save his life. He struggled against his last two opponents (who were stiffs) barely winning a decision against the former, and eeking-out a late-round TKO against the latter. It was bums like these greats like Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali used to mop-up the canvas with...

Who's the worst fighter with a belt?

The judge who gave it to Diaz is either a fucking idiot, or can't score a fight.
Accidental headbutts (or punches as it actually turned out to be) are part of boxing, and something a good champion should adjust to.
Diaz losing is no one's fault but Diaz's. Campbell performed beautifully.
Pretty much what I said, only shorter.
he won on a split decision against diaz who was confused from a huge cut
that fight shoulda been stopped after the clash of heads
he got lucky, its called an upset
campbell is the most unlikely guy to make a defense of his title all the lightweights are too good for him
They gave a split-decision because it was on what amounted to Diaz's home turf (it certainly wasn't Campbell's).
Look, a lot of boxers get cut, its part of the game. It's on you to overcome whatever obstacles get in your way. Thats what champions do. When James Toney fought Tim Littles, he too was cut by a punch and was told if he didn't get to work and finish this guy he was going to lose. He went out and finished the Littles off.
Also, the cut was initially caused by a punch, I have video proof.
You can blame it on the judges, blame it on the ref, call it a hometown decision or place the blame on the cut, at the end of the day you have to live with history.
This is the same logic of Tyson fans who say that if Tyson would have taken Douglas serious he would have been the undefeated greatest champion of all-time. But he didn't and thats history. Nothing is gonna change it.
I could say that Hector Camacho Jr. would have beaten Jesse James Leija if not for the cut, but thats not my agenda.

diaz is not a champ
imo diaz wins in a rematch he deserves a rematch but don king knows better and its not letting it happen
So a guy goes out and beats a unified champion and he's the worst titlist? Hmm, OK. Well then Juan Diaz lost to the worst champion in boxing, which can't be a very flattering achievement.
It's weird how some fans are unwilling to give credit to guys who beat their favorite fighter.

He fought Braithwaite.... and Haye. Erdei is bad, The strawweights, and LMW's are also terrible
Like I said, I've never seen him.
I just said in my first post that no one picked him, and a lot of people didn't agree with the decision.
Scratch it if it's wrong.
No one picked him because he had less losses than Spinks. When you're dealing with a guy like Phillips who hasn't made as much money as other three-time titlists, he's bound to be hungry.
Unjustly? Even Cory Spinks admits he lost. If a guy can go out there and give his best effort and be declared the winner, I don't think its unjust for him to be
Underachiever? Could it be that he's an overachiever who hung around forever by winning fights when he needed to, and gave it all he had when it mattered?
Verno Phillips is one of those tough veterans that you can't overlook because on any given night he can beat you.

Your hero Hypejob Haye's best win is over the very weak former titleholder Macca
Haye's resume is WEAK
I didn't say he was a bad fighter because he wasn't a big star.
I just know he has a bunch of losses (a lot were early in his career).
Literally no one on this board picked him to beat Spinks.
A lot of people said that Spinks outboxed him fairly handily, but didn't get the decision.
Those are the ingredients of an underachiever unjustly having a belt, which would make him a decent candidate for worst fighter with a belt IMO.

nate campbell
malignaggi
aj banal soon after he beats up that bum
If Nate Campbell is the worst fighter with a belt, what does that say about Juan Diaz?
