What was the best Blockbuster Fight of 2007?

Well to me the criteria for best Blockbuster fight means the fight itself is a mega event. That leaves Mayweather-Hatton in first place just because of the media and fight itself Though Taylor Pavlik was better.

wow. nobody voted for mayweather-delahoya. I agree its the worst fight on the list, but I'm still surprised it didn't get a single vote. ppl in this boxing forum are smarter than I thought.

Pavlik-Taylor with Calzaghe-Kessler coming in a close second.

dang, I thought it was a fight of the year. Thread's starter asking what fight was blockbuster right? Off course it's the ODLH-PBF in terms of audinces and PPV.

i liked pavlik-taylor, and calzaghe-kessler was good as well. it was not the best, but i loved seeing kelly dismantle the primitive hype job that is edison miranda!

Well, I thought Pavik-Taylor was the best fight this year, but in terms of being a blockbuster fight (a fight everyone, even those with a minor appeal in boxing were interested in) you have to go with Mayweather-De La Hoya.

Pavlik - Taylor for me

I don't know if cotto-judah would qualify as a blockbuster fight. neither is established as a #1 in their division. through that prism neither would Cotto-Mosley... but the truth is that Cotto-Judah filled up the garden quite nicely, and sold a good share of PPV's, but more importantly.. I just liked that fight.

It was a decent fight. I wouldn't say great. I wish that Kessler would have adapted better and realized he wasn't going to do anything doing what he was doing and attacked more the way his corner wanted, dont know if it had worked but overall a decent fight.

In this order i'd have Pavlik Taylor Calzaghe Kessler Cotto Mosely Mayweather De La Hoya Mayweather Hatton I dont want to be negative but the only really great fight in there is Pavlik Taylor which was indeed a great fight. you didn't like Joe vs Kessler??

why? Pavlik is a good fighter. He's the kinda boxer that if he is fighting you have to watch without question. And that is a true boxer. The result was what made that fight as great as it was cuz of the comeback. I thought pavlik was done in the second. it was a great fight but i'm a big fan of Taylor and it sucked watching one of your favorite fighters get ko'd that's all......:tapedshut
