The super-middleweight division is loaded with talented guys, and the best that Green could find was Rubin Williams? Green is 26 fights into his career and hasn't fought any top ranked guys outside of Edison Miranda, who dropped him twice and put his only L on the record.
There are guys like Carl Froch, Lucian Bute, Librado Andrade, Anthony Mundine and others that he could be fighting. For the time being I will not be mentioning Green among the top fighters at 168 until he fights a ranked, recognized, and respected contender.
Green should fight some of the third tear fighters in the divison, Andrade or Froch or Inkin.
1st tier: Mikkel Kessler (the best in the division by quite some distance)
2nd tier : Anthony Mundine (talent and ability) and Lucian Bute ( Power puncher)
3rd tier : Inkin, Froch, Andrade
And im sure im missing out a few in the third tear. Im sure he should fight some of the third tier fighters in the division. Im confident he would be competitive against the second tier, but he wouldn't win. Against Kessler, he would get eaten and it would be poor management to put him in the ring with the best in the division at this stage of his career.
So Inkin, Froch or Andrade.
I'd say that Calzaghe is above Kessler, IMO.
Allan Green is a joke, he fought like a coward against Miranda and he was running for the entire fight. Green looks good knocking out tomato cans, but when he finally steps up and fights an elite fighter at 168 he will get exposed and Knocked out cold. You may be right, I'd like to see him and Lacy
He lost a fight at a weight he didn't belong at. His trainer John David Jackson tells me all the time about how he'd beat Miranda at 168, then why not prove it? Green has had two fights since losing to Miranda, both KOs inside of 2 rounds. I think Green has gotten his swagger back. I think Green is an excellent fighter, he just isn't showing it.
i doubt that. he had nothing on miranda . and miranda had him out on his feet.
I think this year Green will get some better fights. I think he was on his way, but that colon issue came up and he had to step down his level of competition to see where he was at. He seems to be 100 % so I would expect a big fight in the future for him.
Bute would finish green's career sop not a good move.He should fight Lacy like they said he would
i dont know about that. Green at 100% is nothing to be played with and a great pure boxer with power. Bute has a CHANCE at beating him, but i dont think he would end his career.
I wonder whatever made Jean Pascal change his mind. Back during his last fight on ESPN, they said Pascal was talking mad dimes on Green, wanting a fight.
Green should go after someone good, like Lucian Bute or something. I really think Green could do some big things in boxing. No one else seems to though.

I find it strange how uneducated people are about Green. He had major, major surgery when he had 85% of his colon removed. He should not have been in the ring with Edison Miranda as he needed that surgery badly and now is just at the point where he can step back up in his next couple fights. It is impossible to judge him at this point.
I thought Green got a gift against Emmett Linton, but he does have good power, and could make for some good fights.
P.S He was Never Ko'd, he was dropped not stopped.

he had to have 90% of his colin removed and was dehydrated in that fight. :duh: Green beats Miranda in the rematch IMO. even when Green showed flahes of his real self and open up, he would do well. he even knocked Miranda down.
I don't think Green can beat Kessler right now. Whether he can in the future remains to be seen. I personally would doubt it.
Green dosen't even deserve to be in the same ring as Kessler. He needs some bigger wins on his resume!
Plus, Kessler would destroy him anyway.
green is on the path of not living up to what he was expected to be,and i hope he changes my opinion, but i am thinking he is never going to ammount to much more!
He only took the Rubin fight when he thought Ward wouldn't go through with the HBO fight. Then ESPn refused to let him out of his FNF contract to fight Williams. Ward would be a good dangerous fight for both guys. Its hard for him to step up too much given that he lost in his only HBO appearance but if he beats Ward then he's back in the mix with pretty much anyone at 168. Allan Green is a bad man and will prove that once again with the colon issues now past
you left out the best Super Middle out there, Mikkel Kessler.

he got ko'd in his last fight and you want him to fight top fighters again, thats just bad management
