Welterweight.
He fought Oscar who is super welterweight (154) and he fought Hatton who is true light welterweight (140). Baldomir is a bum welterweight, and Judah and Mayweather were moving up and fought at 145.
Now before you come at me thinking i'm hating you better check yourself cause that is not the case. I'm just stating facts here and nothing less.
Only guy he fought at 147 was/is a bum (Baldobum). So the talk of Mayweather leaving with nothing to prove at welterweight (147) is a joke if you see and agree with the facts i'm pointing out.
Yes Baldo is a bum.
Baldobum is what he is and shame on Judah for losing that fight pure shame. Makes you think if Judah himself should be considered a bum for losing that fight.
Who cares if he went 12 he got his ass kicked by wide margin.
I have seen bums go 12 rounds just to take a beating.
Baldo is a human punching bag for good fighters plain and simple. It's actually better because you actually get credit for it.
Like i said above he is a human punching bag.
Not it would not be wrong at all because of what Baldo is.
What more do i want? What more? Did we get anything in the 1st place? Sorry but beating this bum doesn't count as something.
You say what more? I say how bout giving us something first?
Source?
Anyways i'm not even asking for Cotto just fight a legit established welterweight at 147.
This means no jr welterweights (140) or super welterweights (154)
you one closed minded dude homie no offense but you speak so narrowly, you say he never gave us nothing in the 1st place and you sound ameturish, he fought Judah at 147 and then beat the recognized champion there, he won the belts and in order to add on to his legacy he went on to Super Middleweight to defeat Oscar, whats wrong with that? he did what he set out to do then went back down to 147 to defend his title against someone who is naturally bigger than him and undefeated with more fights, whats your complains about? Floyd beat Baldomir and won the belts, he beat Oscar and won the belts, he beat Hatton and retained the belts, he spoke of fighting Cotto if he wins his next few fights and increases his stock, he took on the big fights and made the most money available to him, whats the problem?
and about you saying Zab should be considered a bum you are crazy homie, Zab ain't no bum he just found himself against someone who wasn't going down easy and the tune up he came for ended up being a REAL defense, Zab kept talking shit about Floyd after that loss so Floyd AT 147! beat Judah and then Baldomir, when Floyd fought Judah it was only 1 fight after he lost the Undisputed Welterweight Title, he was fresh off greatness and eager to regain it which he still has the potential to do, Floyd beats him then Baldomir who was the champion whether YOU consider him a bum or not them he beats Oscar De La Hoya, he goes back down to his comfort weight and fought Ricky Hatton, someone who NATURALLY is bigger than Floyd, who had the size and aggression to overpower Floyd and who gave Floyd everything he could handle for the 1st half of their fight, you act like Floyd is big like Collazo, dude is only 5'8 yo and he beat a 5'11 Oscar De La Hoya at a 1st time fight in his highest weight class without even breaking a sweat, c'mon man get real and give credit where it's due..
Baldomir ain't no human punching bag yo quit that shit he's like a Mayorga type of fighter who doesn't bring nothing but bravado, he takes a good shot and gives one but he ain't the most physically gifted fighter, his style wont allow for him to do anything but catch an upset and thats exactly what happened, give him his credit though the dude paid his dues, he wont the title and lost it in combat, he gave his best efforts and fought the best of his class and lost, keep it real here yo he defended his belt and then he lost it, like it or not that counts for something don't just generalize, Vernon is a WAY better Boxer and Baldomir didn't give a fuck he fought him anyway, he has the kind of heart that you desire from Floyd to face the best at Welterweight yet you call him a bum, it's a double standard and it really ain't cool, you going to have a lot of sensitive bastards on here rate you a 1 with opinions like that, NOT ME but trust and believe you'll see what I mean, I understand you just giving your opinion just try to be a little more open minded about it, Floyd is in the process of doing what he is supposed to do, he is going to take 1 more big fight after and good, long break and leave the right way fighting someone at Welterweight who deserves it the most, what more do you want from him, blood?
**please don't reply to my post part by part, it makes it very difficult to reply to you, just read my whole post and share your thoughts in a post of your own, thank you**
lol so cotto is the truth the antedote vs mayweatheR?...
the argument is mayweather must fight a legit welter huh.
If mayweather gets some rest and fresh inspiration cotto will be easy work.
Mayweather now is used to pressure, + cotto's boxing skills? common he can throw those in the garbage vs mayweather, he will prolly go for pressure.
Judah and shane wanted no boxing match -_-.'', floyd will punish cotto, cotto isnt quick on his feet, and is the kinda of guy that will slow down, specially after some stealth mayweather bodyshots.
I agree with Floyd being an excellent fighter, though I do render him beatable in the WW division. I'm not going to try and bring Floyd's wins down, there's always better, younger, hungrier fighters out there that have to end the carreers of the faded champs. DLH fought a lot of faded champs, James Toney did and prime Holyfield as well. Floyd has proven to be great, but like former p4p champ Roy Jones he has to beat young upcoming guys in their primes as well.
Hatton was a fighter in his prime, Corrales was as well, but he never fought young champs above 140. I only want him to fight Cotto, because I think Cotto could clean up the division, a win over Cotto would seal his legacy as Cotto would just bounce back and win more titles. However I do give Cotto the best chance to beat him: I see him as being stronger than DLH (who had trouble with SSM's power), technically sound and smart. Hatton was no smart fighter, nor did he show to be very powerful at 147 so don't compare him with Cotto
Yeah I gotta agree. he didnt struggle.Hatton had his moments with the pressure but Floyd adjusted and got him outta there, props to him for that..
He just needs to fight a tOp WELTER..is all im saying,
I too would like him to fight a welter, Williams or Cotto would be nice.
But lets remember, he still fought Oscar at 154...not bad if you consider how much Oscar weighed by fight time.
I have a questioin,
What was Floyd's weight by fight time, in the Hatton fight and his last fight?
What was Cotto's, Margy, Williams, etc.?
How much does a 140 pound fighter usually put on by fight time?
Floyd Mayweather is a genious at hand picking opponets. He struggles with Hatton a fighter, with the skill set of Mayweather should not have struggled so much, but he did. Too many people are blinded by Mayweathers hand picking opponets.
you must of had shit in your eyes when you watched the fight coz if theres one thing floyd didnt do, it was struggle
The recognize champ at 140 is hatton and floyd beat him
true. what difference does it make if that they fought at 147. SAME THING!!!!!
hey can I have some free dvds
The recognize champ at 140 is hatton and floyd beat him, big deal, floyd had to go up in weight to fight oscar. hatton had to go up in weight to fight floyd. If hatton was really better, he would of won, despite this weight shit. Floyd will fight cotto, the best welterweight next to floyd and win floyd wins, hopefully that shuts all you dumbass's up with no lives and just want to continue talking about floyd. Get over yourself and get a job.......
Good point. The excuses wont stop.
weighed in at 147 for the weigh in. Hatton the NON legit welter weighed in at 145......
PLUS HE HAS HAD 4 FIGHTS AT that weight and 1 at 154..
nonsense. have you seen Floyds' skills?
END OF ARGUMENT!!!!!!
we dont care about what weight he started his career at, he's a legit welter NOW so he should be fighting the best fighters at that weight.
So were the other fighters at Welterweight he beat. No matter what weight class they started at,as you said.
Baldomir was the recognized Champion at Welterweight, it isn't Floyd's fault he was the Champion he just came and did his job, people act like Baldomir is a bum, no he isn't,
Yes Baldo is a bum.
a bum doesn't beat Zab Judah, he lost a lot early on but don't rule him out as a bum
Baldobum is what he is and shame on Judah for losing that fight pure shame. Makes you think if Judah himself should be considered a bum for losing that fight.
when he went 12 with Vernon Forrest,
Who cares if he went 12 he got his ass kicked by wide margin.
I have seen bums go 12 rounds just to take a beating.
a guy who beat Shane Mosley twice with Vernon having a GOOD shoulder and also went 12 with Floyd,
Baldo is a human punching bag for good fighters plain and simple. It's actually better because you actually get credit for it.
he is aggressive and can take a great punch,
Like i said above he is a human punching bag.
to just rule him out as a chump would be wrong homie..
Not it would not be wrong at all because of what Baldo is.
he the Champion and Floyd beat him,
what more do you want?
What more do i want? What more? Did we get anything in the 1st place? Sorry but beating this bum doesn't count as something.
You say what more? I say how bout giving us something first?
he has his sights set on Cotto, what else does he have to do? 100
Source?
Anyways i'm not even asking for Cotto just fight a legit established welterweight at 147.
This means no jr welterweights (140) or super welterweights (154)
didnt you hear? floyd doesnt have to fight anyone. we already know he beats everyone, so theres no point really. no need for actual competition. just celebrate floyds wonderfulness
haha so true.
DD.. Do you think Mayweather could still fight at 140?
135?
130?
Honest questions.. honest answer please..
Some floyd fans think he can, yet he fought Hatton at 147.
Floyd Mayweather is a genious at hand picking opponets. He struggles with Hatton a fighter, with the skill set of Mayweather should not have struggled so much, but he did. Too many people are blinded by Mayweathers hand picking opponets.
floyd isnt a legit welter himself
we dont care about what weight he started his career at, he's a legit welter NOW so he should be fighting the best fighters at that weight.
