Why are Floyd STANS so homotional?

I definitely agree to that part. For example, I felt that FMJ should have been fighting real comp, instead of Hatton. He went for the easy payday, and that essentially 'wasted' a year of his prime. Now, I understand the $20 mil he made. And how he further positioned himself for mainstream appeal, etc. But Hatton was the wrong "sports" decision. Thus, why I didn't elevate him for the win. wow.. something we agree on?? thunder is gonna strike and it's gonna rain today :D

for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. when tyson was making his comeback, this shit was going on. when jones was fighting tarver and got a close desicion and then got knocked out, this was happening. when pacman was battling mexicans, this board was heated racially for months. these things usually pass, but i gotta say, floyd since the gatti fight has dominated this board longer than those events i mentioned, which is funny because usually when a guy keeps winning you would think it would mostly be praise with a few nutcases here and there, but there are 2 agendas, one where people think floyd cant/never will lose, and the overwhelming about of people who are content with filling the board with endless rebuttles to the latter end of the spectrum. I saw a one-sided fight in which Hatton landed ZERO of his best punches (left hook 2 da body). And , as I reflect on the fight, I can't think of a single Hatton punch that buzzed or stunned Floyd. All Hatton did was "stay close" . And try to maul. He did not land anything. He landed one jab per round. And Roger predicted, he came in with his face. Judah did MUCH better than Hatton. Delahoya did much better than Hatton. Castillo did much better than Hatton. Hell, CORLEY did better than Hatton. True Story. Why are you responding? You don't even like Floyd Mayweather.

I thought the thread was directed at fans that argue day after day why Floyd should not have to fight the actual top undefeated contenders in his weight class, because he's that great. Reasonable Floyd fans are not the ones going on about Floyd being THE GOAT, dominating anyone and everyone to have ever stepped in the ring from 130 to 154. I don't think anyone, hater or not, will argue Floyd is not an awesome fighter but some fools run around saying he's fought the toughest fights at 140 or even 147 "proving" he's the best welter to have set foot in the ring.

i appreciate that, anyway this problem cant be fixed without drastic measures, a lot of the floyd critisism has merit, but its normally blown way out of porportion. he is the most popular prime boxer in the sport so all this is inevitable. we need a seperate board for floyd. and for all those that say that one fighter doesnt deserve a whole board. well when 70% of the threads on a forum that is intended to encompass the entire sport include the name floyd mayweather, it get ridiculous. somebody could make a post about klitschko and 5 posts later it has shifted to the merits of floyds career. we are all responsible because fans, the objective, and haters alike obsess on mayweather to a certain degree. i like other fighters and would like to discuss them, but floyd absolutely dominates this nsb. Ill tell you the truth straight up. 1st off I dont play that kiddie gay talk so kill that right now and I will talk serious for a second. What you people fail to realize is that Floyd is far far far different from anyone else in boxing. By that I mean that no one gets hated on as much as him and you have to admit that. Every fighter has there crititcs but its not even close to what has with fans or the media. Thats why we defend him so hard because if we dont then who? If I say something bad about Cotto then it doesnt carry much weight because the media loves Cotto and most of the fans do. Thats how it is with most boxers but everyone hates Floyd. You dont see as many negative articles get written about anyone but Floyd. Go to any site and you will see it. Then go to the fan forums and you will see a million threads talking about how Floyd is this or that. Again, its not like that for any fighter. Thats why if your a fan of his then you have to defend them. I dont think we go overboard with it but I think it may seem that way because theres only a few of us and theres so many going the other way. I can diss Cotto all day but no one is going to buy it. He's the golden boy of boxing right now. Guys like Cotto, Williams, Margarito, etc.. never have bad stuff written about them and they do then its only a little so you dont have to defend them.
