I think Oscar landed better shots against Floyd and was more effective.
I had it 6-2 for Hopkins at the end of the fight, but watching it again it'd probably be more so 5-3, there was really close round in there (3?) that I could have given to either guy.
It's hard to say really.
i think the middleweight oscar that fought hopkins in 2004-09-18, was better.
he was on his toes, jabbing circles pretty good.Well, he was fighting a totally different challenge, so it's hard to determine. The Oscar of that time was better though, despite not looking it because he was fighting at MW.
:ugh: you know what i mean. Oscar looked better against Floyd because he lost a split decision, he was knocked out by Hopkins so how did he look better in that fight? its obvious. that too complicated?
well, let's put it this way:
pound for pound, ignoring the middleweight/light-middleweight difference, and ignoring the result of the hopkins and mayweather fights:
which oscar would have had a better chance at beating floyd?
1. the 2004 oscar that fought bhop
2. the may 2007 oscar that lost to mayweather via split decision.
i dont know, it just seemed to me that the 154 may 2007 oscar seemed flatfooted, compared to the 160 2004 oscar.
It might be "obvious" if Hopkins = Mayweather, which is just silly.
How can this decide it? Of course he got a better result against Floyd, but in one case he was fighting the middleweight champ, in the other he was fighting a guy who came into the ring at 149 or whatever
id rather lose a split decision than be knocked out.

Oscar that fought Hopkins= Knocked out
Oscar that fought Floyd= lost a spilt decision
its obvious

I thought Oscar was even in the fight with Hopkins at the time of stoppage. I had it 4 rounds a piece so Oscar was holding his own against B-Hop until he took a dive, probably to be able to make the tranny convention on time.

Uhhh...
I think Hopkins won the fight, so I'll probably go with Hopkins.
EDIT: Lol, thanks for adding a poll to clear up what your opening post meant after I posted something that didn't make any sense.
He looked good against Hopkins IMO. I'll vote for that.
