Mayweather looked shook

He didn't pot shot in all rounds cause hatton wouldn't let him. Mayweather didn't fight a smart fight but he did win. A smart fight for Mayweather is him fighting with in his style and he didnt' do that. I'm not a mayweather fan or Hatton fan, just a fight fan here. I actually disliked mayweather till this fight. what i saw ( not arguing with any one) was a guy that usually I think is boring, seem uncomfortable in a place where he is usually too comfortable. I saw a boxer adapt and slowly dismantle his oppenent and it was impressive. I think if you count the right hand he landed he slowly started landing more per round till the left decapitated Hatton. I wanted Hatton to win for his attitude but after watching it, I think floyd knows haters pay for the fights not the general public. PPV figures should have a percentage separated for haters because no matter how much I like some one the only way I am to watch/pay for the fight is if I truely hate the opponent. I think " Money Mayweather " was brilliant. Hatton was too small. it became apparent pretty quick. Money Mayweather should retire or he will loose. God humbles all of us.

Can't beleive the post-fight attitude of some of the hatton fans on this board. I'm british, and a huge hatton fan, and I beleived he could win... I'm still gutted and feeling sad that he lost. And yes, the ref wasn't doing hatton any favour's, but still.. the fact is he was out boxed by a very intelligent, technical, strong fighter who deserved to win. I now have huge respect for Floyd. I dont like his attitude to opponents, but I know a lot of it is for promotion. C'mon guys, we should all take defeat graciously, not hide behind lame excuses. I don't think floyd is unbeatable.. everyone can loose. But who's gonna beat him. Not Cotto, not from what i've seen of him. Calzaghe could do it, but it would be a mismatch, mayweather could never operate at a catchweight that they both could make. So I really don't know who could beat floyd right now.

He has very underrated inside fighting as everyone can see now. He basically out Hattoned hatton and showed that he can win no matter what. cause when he did fight like most of his fights, using his jab and what not in the 9th, it was easy. He wanted to show that he is a complete fighter who can do it all. I thought it was a masterful fight and Floyd's skills were really displayed thanks to Hatton.

It was easy to say that mayweather was concerned because hatton is the underdog but the pressure isn't as much as him as mayweather because people are just waiting for Mayweather to lose and all the people who fight him are not just looking for their win against him but also his first loss, and maybe he was quiet in the opening round because he was figuring hatton's game plan

Just for the sake of you mentally challenged members on this board that obviously only post to get status, Floyd totally outsmarted Hatton by allowing to think he was gonna be stronger . Let me explain this in detail and i promise to not go too fast. First, Floyd knew Hatton would come at him. If you look at the first 5 or 6 rounds. Floyd retreated several times when Hatton hadn't even approached him. During the same rounds he stood his ground in the center of the ring and picked him apart getting his points and securing the round. He would then retreat to the ropes (again before Hatton realized he was doing so) and welcome Hatton inside. Even Hatton admitted after the fight that this was happening. If you have someone thinking they are the stronger fighter before the fight begins you've half the battle already. Floyd knew he was stronger and Hatton even admitted realizing that Floyd was bigger and stronger once he got inside. No fighter will stand in front of another guy and let him hit him unless he lacks defensive skills. If you have no defense you have no choice but to walk in and trade. That does not make you a warrior but a fighter lacking skill and technique and using what you have. Know the difference before displaying your lack of intelligence.
