What I mean is.. SO I should give him credit for being able to take some nice punches??? I should Give him credit.. for basically quitting when he got deducted a point?? (which was Bullshit.. But dont quit over it)
I should Give him credit for NOT using a jab..???
I should give him credit for abandonning his Body Attack???
I would give Him Credit if he did what he said he would do(win or lose) But he didn't..
He did not use "Intelligent agression" he was stupid.. Head hunting when the body was free..:wtf:
He did exactly what Floyd said he would do.. Instead of what HE said he would do..
I cant give him credit for not giving 100%.. He promised so many people he would.. And By his own admission.. he didnt..
I cant say he didnt have heart cause he did but as hatton now knows heart alone wont win you these types of super fights!!! I still cant believe hatton got up from the first beautifully flush knock down!!! But all credit to him for that!!!
One thing, he sounded like a sour little bitch!!! Fluke my arse!!! He tried to play that comment off as a joke but you could tell he meant it!!!
What was impressive? That Hatton and Mayweather milked this fight to death, and people ate it up and gave Hatton a chance to win. And what was more impressive? The morons who were hyped for this fight.
He's not a class act... but he's not a bad guy.
His speeches at the end were a lot of bull shit to try to get more $$$ in whatever he does next. He does a good job playing the role of a villain, but it's not always acting.
By class act, I meant in terms of boxing skills and sitting rightfully on top of the p4p list. He is a special fighter. A masterful skillful fighter.
Floyd is a class act. No doubt. I was one of those not completely convinced (rather foolishly-and also because of his arrgance), but I'm now fully convinced. A class act.

I thought he put up as good of a fight, as I ever imagined he would.
He was able to pressure Mayweather and smother his punches, ultimately forcing him to fight his fight in close. Hatton won more rounds than De La Hoya did on my card.

Hatton did the best he could do... which is, as predicted by some (me), simply isn't that much compared to Mayweather. I don't really like either fighter and this just further proves how much better Mayweather is then.. ummm... everybody.
Hatton did impress me for ~3 rounds though. He was moving fast, and although I only gave him 1 of those 3 rounds at the start he definitely had me wondering if he'd pull it out. But 3 rounds isn't worth a damn if it goes 4.

Another daft idea by Graham and team Hatton to move up to 147. I never understood this logic. I never understood why Graham kept on stating that Mayweather would be the only fighter they would move up 147 for. Mad.
Oh shut up. Hatton has fought bigger Junior Welters than Floyd Mayweather tonight.
well hatton never threw any of tho's real hard one's cos he was always expectin a counter from mayweather i think,
when he got close he would lean on mayweather throw little punches(same as floyd) then floyd would move or the ref stopped it he never stepped back and threw like were ust to, i think its more to do with floyd then hatton himself
RICKY'S STILL THE MAN THO:boxing:

He absolutely did. It simply wasn't landing.
Here's an idea, Welter, you get in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, and you throw your body punches. Let's see how well you keep it up after eating hard counters for 8 rounds.
You also Misunderstand me.. This Thread is no way to take away from Mayweather.. It's to criticise Hatton.. There is plenty of Mayweather praise
threads already...
And Alot of People being a little unrealistic towards Hatton...
He tied up Floyd and tried to go to the body. Floyd did a better job of inside fighting tonight. Ricky didn't give up he was just tired as shit. He expended so much energy in the first 5 rounds.

I would prefer to die a natural death thanks..;)
I spent the whole fight focused on waiting for ONE thing.. That Body punch.. It never came because HE NEVER THREW IT....

He couldn't get to Mayweathers body. His defence was too damn good. Same as Cotto wont get to his body.

Where was the Body attack??? Why was Hatton Head Hunting Floyd Mayweather???
He himself said.. "you are not going to beat Floyd Mayweather by head hunting"
He tried his best till Cortez deducted the point.. and then Used it as an excuse to give up...
Maybe I am wrong.. But I am no fool..I saw his Body language change from that point on..
He definitely wasn't head hunting and was punching to the body at every single opportunity he had on the inside. It just wasn't available for it to be hit.
Please give Mayweather's best attribute, and one of the greatest attributes a fighter could ever possess in the sport: Floyd's defense, a little credit.
I assure you, Welter, it's no coincidence.
Please rewatch the fight after letting the result sink in for a few days. It was a very emotional fight.
I personally did overestimate Hatton. I thought he'd give Floyd more trouble, maybe winning four rounds, but he was outclassed. Floyd adjusted to him, and he couldnt adjust to Floyd.
From what I saw at least. The stream was shit 50% of the time.

Right and that had absolutely nothing to do with Mayweather.
Y'know, Ricky just decided after 43 fights and winning, to just stop doing what he does best against Floyd. You're absolutely right, Floyd Mayweather had nothing to do with it.... :lame:
