I just created Mayweather on Fight Night Round 3 and let him beat on Hatton for 12 full rounds. Never touched controls!
Floyd won, but Hatton was still standing at the end.
That says it all!
Bwaaaaaaaahahahahaha!
First off. I have watched the Collazo fight several time(yes it was a job) and i never saw ricky "about to go" as you put it, but that is open to enterpetation.
First the Factors.
Floyd is older, slower, and his power at 130 has long been gone. He is reduced to throwing one shot at a time most ofton because of his defensive poture and has a tendancy to end up on the ropes in defensive mode for long periods of time when pressed. My impression is he is waiting for the opponent to "blow his wad" and then Floyd comes back on the opponent.
Hatton can Take a punch. Yes he was very Fatigued in the Collazo fight, and yes he made tactical errors in that fight, but it was a fight on short notice and hehas had the time and the training to make the move correctly this time. His stamina(other than the collazo fight) is unquestionable. His punch output is well known and he rips to the body consistantly all night long!
How i see the fight:
1 thru 4
Mayweather comes out defensively looking to gauge Hattons speed and power. Hatton comes straight ahead jabbing his way in and looking to hook to the body and shoot the uppercut inside. Hatton is the stronger and manages to outwork Mayweather and surprisingley abler to get inside without taking much Damage. Hatton is ahead 3-1
5 thru 9
By the fifth round, Mayweather legs are starting to tire. Hatton is still pressing and Mayweather is finding himself on the ropes for longer periods of time. Mayweather has cut Hatton and the bodywork Hatton has done is starting to show in the Mayweather corner as things begin to get frantic. By the seventh Mayweather is looking worse than he ever has and is reduced to holding on to stave off the body attack. Somewhere btween the 7th and the 9th Hatton will land the decisive blow. He will close as he has all night and catch Maywether with the left hook to the head dropping Mayweather for the first time in his Career. Mayweather will rise and be saved by the ref!
Thats how i see it!
Fair enough. We'll see who gets closer on Saturday.
Haton has made one appearance at 147. He faded, got caught, rocked and almost dropped. (Some say he WAS dropped) Thi was agaisnt, a slower, lesser opponent.
Mayweather is the NATURALLY bigger guy, more accustomed to the weight and has a GREAT defense. His chin is decent, and has no stamina problems.
Both have a good body attack, though the edge goes to Hatton, obviously. However, Mayweather HAS underrated foot work, because he doesn't really need to use at much movement. He uses a stationary shoulder roll. However, he does have the better handspeed. OVERALL combinations would be a toss up. Hatton throws more, Mayweather throws more accurate ones.
Both are good finishers. Both have great overall skills.
However, Mayweather has never been as close to being finished as Hatton was against Collazo. Hatton has also been knocked DOWN, against a counter-punch. Mayweather's entire attack is essentially pot-shotting (more of) and counters (less of).
The way I see it is as follows..
THREE KEY POINTS:
1. First 3 rounds are timid. Floyd wins ATLEAST 2 of the first three. hatton is trying too impose his will and game plan. Through the 3-5, Hatton is getting hit more, but working the body liked plan. Mayweather is starting to step it up a bit because of his ability to hit and move before Hatton gets TOO much work done. 6 and 7 are back and forth, as Hatton goes forward with a second win and may take one or both rounds.
2. Around the 7 or 8 round, Mayweather turns the fight around with a left hand. Hatton is stunned/dropped in the 8 or so.
3. By the 10th, I see Hatton being TKOed against the ropes. I see the ref stopping it.
I see Mayweather in a TOUGH fight though, perhaps bleeding from his mouth. Redness around the eyes and a hurt body the next day.
Just my honest take.I'd prefer you not try to debunk my theory, since you know as much as I do about what will happen. I'd rather just hear your theory on what will happen. That'd be more interesting.

what ratings did you give mayweather?
OK, joo wanna play, ok!
You say that Mayweather wins stylistically?
Your sig says By tko. Lay it out for me brother. Show me that heave wisdom that has lead you to that outcome and i will eviscerate it for you.
You wanna have an intelligent debate on the merits of each fighter style and how they will contrast come fight nigh?
Lets do it, but be warned. U start using bullshit analogies and comparing Hatton to anyone Floyd has ever faced and I'm through.
Floyd hasn't faced anyone hattons size that is prime p4p and is as aggressive as Ricky is. So don't waste my time with "Floyd did this to Castillo or Gatti, or Chaves, because this fight is nowhere near any of the others floyd has ever fought stylistically speaking.

I have never been beaten by ricky hatton, ever online. Ive slaughtered hatton many times, but actually, ive also used him online as a change of pace. My record on fightnight was something like 141-68, but i started off something like 34-28 or something
anyhow, this simulation is terrible, considering i knocked out ali with Pacman.
I'm basically the only person who has CONTINUED to give Hatton a chance. I've never said ANYTHING personally bad about Hatton. He's p4p to me, deserves to be and deserves to prove himself.
Give ONE post where I spoke down upon Hatton in a serious way, and siad that he has NO CHANCE. I'd love for you to try and find that one.

No, u are nutlicker when u feel the need to denigrate everyone he faces without giving them the opportunity to prove it in the ring.
You and many other nutlickers act like we shouldn't even be having this fight in the face of the fact that Hatton is 43-0 a three time world champion and one of the best p4p fighters out there.
That would be my interpretation of a nutlicker!

So, if you're in favor of Mayweather, stylistically.. You're a nutlicker?
Coming from the same guy who thinks the videogame determines the fight... Uhuh.

Another well thought out post from the Nordic master himself, sir Easton.:) Very enlightening.
Why thank you your Highness.
Nothing like a commendation from the Queen herself!
lol, i don't bet on fights man. Too many bad decisions these days to be accurate at it.
But if i did drop cash, you can bet yer ass i would drop it on Hatton!
I'm still sorry to hear THAT then.
