It makes me wonder if this guy has given up.
He loses to the top dude in the heavyweight division (by brutal KO), and then packs on a minimumweight in weight before his fight that would get him a rematch. Does anyone think he might have caught James "Buster" Douglas syndrome, and given up on his boxing life?
Yea I had only seen his Lawrence fight and thought he was alright and hopped on his band wagon to beat Wlad. I bet if I had seen more of his other fights I wouldn't have thought dude even had a chance. The other thing here is that hopefully Povetkin and Fast Eddie don't become a Calvin Brock if they lose to Wlad. You know start eating too much and start ruining your reputation kind've like Kirk Johnson. I kinda wish Povetkin and Chambers were fightin for WBA title instead.
Yeah, good point; Brock doesn't have "Buster Douglas Syndrome" he has "Kirk Johnson Syndrome!"...:lol1:

I dont think either of those fighters will be ready for Wlad, Im glad Wlad is fighting Ibragimov. But saying that Ive been more impressed by both those fighters more then I was ever impressed with Brock.
Truth........Brock was never impressive I dont know why people were ever high on him.

So does everyone actually think that Calvin Brock has done all that he is going to do in the heavyweight division?
He will wonder like a Margarito, or a Golden Johnson, might get some good undercards...
i dont think it has to do with getting Ko by wlad. if it did he wouldnt want to open up. i think he has made a fair bit of money fighting wlad and doesnt really care any more.
Dude, that blonde girl on your sig is hot... (don't go now and change the picture... lol)
the punch that wlad hit him with was just sick. his whole face deformed.
One to be added to "one of the best ever..." list.
Brock was never anything special. He beat some top 100 guys, compiled a decent record, then flopped in his only shot. He did not seem too interested when he fought Chambers and got pelted all night long. His face really looked bad.
I really do not think Wlad ruined him, I think he ruined himself.
Maybe you are right, or at least pretty much in the money.
Brock is an average heavyweight with limited skills, you guy's act like his career would of went far.

To suggest he had “Buster Douglas Syndrome” is to suggest that Brock accomplished something of the same magnitude that James did. Brock unfortunately didn’t do anything of the sort and only notable accomplishment was becoming a #1 contender.

Brock was pretty good until he ran into Wlad.:D
lol according to Emmanuel Steward Brock is suppose to be solid on every category speed, power, skills, technique, chin, but he showed none of that in any of fights, that's how terribly unskilled he is. I don't define that as pretty good.

Take a look at my avatar, Wlad ended Brock's career.:D
