"My son is a disobedient kid, and he wants to be a gangster now," Mayweather Sr. said. "It's really sad. He could have been one of the all-time greats, but he's the most disliked guy in boxing now -- probably he's the most disliked guy in life, period. Nobody wants anything to do with him. Pretty soon, all these bodyguards and so-called friends will drop him faster than you can blink when there isn't anything left for them to leech off him."
Exactly.
Fake Floyd thinks he's cool.
Yet all he does is make himself a punk.
It's good to see that the American masses sees Fake Floyd as a waste of time and is merely overhyped.
A lot of people watched the DLH fight and made the conclusion that if a guy like Fake FLoyd ran all night from a shot DLH who gassed out in the mid rounds then who the fuck is this Fake Floyd.
Running from a shot opponent and doing nothing IS NOT FUCKING SKILL.
THAT'S JUST PLAIN RUNNING.
It called boxing playa..Pretty Boy has the best defense in the sport and 90% of posters hate to admit it..
Roger Mayweather reminds me of the character that Mos Def played in the movie "16 Blocks"
Well...maybe an older Mos Def that had smoked a lot of crack.
At any rate.....my two cents is that All Time Great Status comes from being the total package. The PUBLIC is who you are either an all time great to, or you arent.
Dont tell me you can piss all over the people that decide your status, and still be an all time great to them. It's asinine to try to seperate your desired title, from the people that give it to you.
Floyd is a phenom. But only the diehard nutthuggers throw around all time great status before he's even done with his career.
Here is the litmus test...if you cant even bring yourself to ADMIT that floyd has flaws as a boxer and a representative of the sport....you may want to step back and evaluate your Fanboy status.
To start thread after thread flatly DENYING that there is any credibility to Mayweathers detractors, makes you sound like a nut.
Every boxer has flaws. Floyds just happen to be that he doesnt have a style that appeals to people that like boxing for its conflict and exchanges, and that his childish, gangsterish, arrogant personality sucks any chance he might have for overcoming this perceved fault.

im sure PBF will never have a problem having friends considering he has made over 50 million dollars. stupid comment
If Floyd fought like Robinson, people would overlook his bratty/obnoxious attitude. Most fans want warriors to praise, not someone who is going to dance and prance around the ring, all the while throwing pitty pat one and done shots.
2 fights doesnt make a mans career. i notice you say that shit alot, but in reality, he only used that style during the fights with baldomir and de la hoya, what about the judah fight? the mitchell fight? the gatti fight? the Ndou fight? The corralles fight? The hernandez fight?
floyd was being overlooked before he moved up in weight and lost his power and started fighting bigger guys for the money and exposure, in the lower weights floyd was easily the most underrated fighter in the sport because nobody was really talking about him outside of boxing circles or when news of domestic disputes came up.
i mean honestly, how long have you followed the guys career? his exposure and hate didint come until after he won the p4p title and moved up.
the thing is, like i said to someone else, robinson was hated in his day because nobody could relate to him, seriously, his skill was so out of this world that people couldnt stand it, his arrogance and just the sheer confidence that came out of him really rubbed people the wrong way. What you dont understand is,
A: Robinson was black
B: Robsinon was arrogant
C: Robinson was black and arrogant
D: He looked unbeatable in his prime
No fighter with the exception of tyson has ever gained massive popularity in this country or worldwide being the combination i stated. Even Roy Jones was only really huge within the black community and hip hop community. Ali was also very much hated in his prime, countless people couldnt stand his ass, especially the white majority.
Seriously, having out of this world talent, being black, and then rubbing it in everyones faces is the recipe for hate. People cant stand that shit.
Its well documented ,,, would beat his wife and kids , promoters never new if he was gunna fight or not , one time demanding another 10grand before he would fight with 10 minutes to the main and a packed house waiting .
get a look at the doco , " Bright Lights Dark Shadows of a Champion " its a great video , Ray was arrogant and many hated him .
It make me laugh as people dig up any shit they can find about Floyd but the same people will praise Ray Robinson ,,, if Floyd had one punch KO power him and SRR are like clones in and out of the ring , it was only power that separates them .

the amazing thing is that this is a coherent thought from Mayweather Sr. I didnt think he had it in him. At the same time, its his fault his kid is so rotten so he has no right to criticize really.
who these days talks about pernell whitaker who isnt
A: A boxing nut
B: Black or from virginia
Nobody outside of that circle talks about him, he had few fans and a bad additude. But his skills are legendary, and that spoke volumes about who he was AS A FIGHTER, as a man, it doesnt matter. Being a good humble person doesnt make you into a great fighter. The number 1 p4p fighter ever Ray Robinson is one of the biggest assholes ever, and had almost no fans outside of blacks, yea...the fans really decide alot huh?
Skills decide how youre remembered, not fans, youre skills and how you impacted the sport, negatively or positively are how you are remembered.
who said ray robinson was an a**hole?

blah blah blah blah = everyone of your stupid fucking post you dumbfuck.
you can have all the awards, praise from experts, belts and spaces on hall of fame walls in the world, its the fans in the end that determine who will be remembered. thats what Floyd Predator is saying.

his additude is a reflection of his father and the people who raised him, being an alltime great has nothing to do with youre additude or how you treat people, with all the wife beaters, racists, and failures in the hall of fame that were great at boxing, being an alltime great has nothing to do with being a nice guy.

well, he isnt claiming that Floyd CANT bust anyone's ass. he is just pointing out that Floyd's attitude and persona is ruining any chances of him being considered an all time great.
