i personally dont think cotto vs mayweather looks good on paper ...and i dont think it would be a good fight ... mayweather will box .... cotto will bully ...no exchanges ... just a really slow cautious game of chess ... Unless Mayweather is shot, in that case Cotto will do the same he did to his grandpa erhm i mean shane mosley and could even tko him.

Floyd will most likely not rematch Hatton and either retire or fight Cotto if he wins. If Ricky wins he will fight DLH.

The word is that Hatton will lace 'em up against Golden Boy win, lose or draw. Obviously if its a draw there HAS to be a rematch. If Hatton wins then Floyd will cry luck and demand a rematch and use his P4P status as leverage, but Hatton will laugh in his face and fight DLH and then either a big unification bout vs Cotto or maybe Cotto at a catchweight, which would be the fairer fight. At 140 my money is on Hatton, at 147 my money is on Cotto but at a catchweight I wouldnt even attempt to pick a winner. Why does a proposed Hatton fight always have to be at a catch weight for some yall? I know 147 is not Hatton's best weight class but damn its only 1 division up.

No matter what the Mayweather/Hatton outcome is..Hatton is fighting Dela Hoya next..He fight is all but signed...Mayweather would probably fight Cotto if he can get rid of Bob Arum.

I think the most likely will be a rematch, especially if Dec 8th is half decent. But I do know Hatton wants to headline the Garden before he retires so it has to be on the cards. I reckon that should Hatton win there will be a rematch in the UK, then Ricky will probably fight Malignaggi at MSG and then set up a big fight with Cotto before having a one-off big fight in the UK as a career closer.

I would lose all respect for BOTH Mayweather and Hatton if whoever wins doesn't fight Cotto and rather go for Mosley or Oscar because both lost their last fights..

Hatton will more than likely face either De La Hoya or Cotto should he win. He would have too much for Oscar at this stage of his career but Cotto would win if they fought at 147lb but at 140lb I'd pick Hatton. I said a while ago that Hatton should have fought Cotto early on when he first burst onto the scene because I thought Hatton had a good chance of beating him then but knew the longer he left it the better and stronger Cotto was gonna get. Mayweather if he wins might retire even if only for a short while, much like SRL did. Maybe he is going for Ray Leonards record of most retirements. But if he fights on I don't think he'll fight Cotto he'd rather Mosley but both have a great chance of beating him.
