It's clearly Mayweather. He sells out every one of his fights and he even did great numbers with a total unknown like Baldomir. Hatton has never been close to a fight this big...
if it was impressive why did all the real boxing fans leave??
What real boxing fans? Tiger Woods? LOL
The people who left were celebrities who only go there to be seen publically and casual fans who think it's glamorous to go a big fight in Vegas.
I guess Margarito being tagged for 4 rounds by an unknown, only to beat him when that unknown (Clottey) broke his hand is more impressive to you.
he was booed toward the end of the fight because he should have been a ble to beat Baldomir more impressively.
Winning every second of every round and making the opponent land 12% of his punches is not impressive? What is impressive then?
please read that post again..... ok...
Dude we are gonna have to agree to disagree because there is no hope of you being objective when it comes to floyd obviously there is noend to your nut hugging.
So if nobody knew he was.....
Why was thier fight the Most watch P.P.V fight EVER...
2.15 ppv buys why...???
Oscar never came close to those numbers before..???
Obvious more than 1 million people knew who he(Mayweather) was or they would have not bought the fight.......
and the fight would have sold like than the Shane mosley fight and Bernard Hopkins fight, and Tito Fight, and Whitaker fight, and Chavez fight ,
with was about 800,000 buys averaged...
so where do these other 1 million or so people come from.... "My asshole"
Wow you are fucking delusional kid.
Oscar had sold near or over 1 million PPV buys in 4 matches before fighting Floyd.
Mayweather had never gotten near half a million.
You admit Oscar was the biggest draw, then insinuate that Floyd drew over a million buys. :wtf1:
Just wait till after the Hatton fight, and we'll see how big of a draw your boyfriend is.
Just curious, how many sales do you think Hatton vs Mayweather will make?

First of all I said before Oscar and how do you not understand that Oscar was a major part if those numbers? Only this fight exceeded what the numbers Oscar did with Tito almost a decade earlier with an almost unknown fighter outside of hardcore fans in Tito. How do you fail to see that Oscar is the common denominator. Take off you Floyd goggles and see logic.
Evander Holyfield. NEXT!
Great point!!!!!! What about Sugar Ray,Tommy Hearns, hagler all would be worhty of PPV if they had it in there time. All were very successful and respected and were all african american.
Ok, I agree with you.
Mayweather made himself a draw after a 9 year career, and is drawing just slightly more than Oscar did after 3 years into his career.
nobody is arguing that Oscar is a bigger draw....!
Oscar didn't make Mayweather a draw, is my claim.
Mayweather made hadself a draw....before Oscar....and that is apparent with his #2 p4p in 2002 and #1 p4p in 2005-2008
and his 1st four PPV.....
Mayweather is this era Greatest Fighter PERIOD.....
fans dont win you fights......
just because you have a big draw doesnt make you the best fighter....
Mayweather is this era Greatest Fighter PERIOD.....
he has already made history...
6 world titles 5 different weight classes (no losses)
1st fighter ever to do that...
Your claim would be wrong, Floyd was not elevated into the limelight until after the Oscar fight and until the Oscar fight no one out side of hard core fans knew who he was. Your telling me Floyd would be where he is now without ever fighting Oscar BULLSHIT!!!! BOTTOM LINE!!!

Glad you finally admit Oscar was the bigger draw.
Hopkins was still #1 p4p in April of 2005, and 2008 isn't even here yet.
Oscar has 10 world titles in 6 different weight classes.
If you dont have a Gold Medal
your black in America
and you are not smiling all the time....(srl)
and have a Personality Like Floyds
how long do you think it would take you to get on P.P.V?
(how long is it going to take you to get people to pay $50 to see you fight)
Yup, what about Tyson, you complete MORON?:smashfrea
You and the guy who posted that are in some serious denial.
Floyd hadn't sold over half a million buys before Oscar. Oscar has done this 9 times before Floyd.
And personally, I doubt Floyd will ever get over 1 million PPV sales again in his career. Whereas Oscar has done it nearly 5 times.
How can you still think that de la Hoya was not the biggest draw, oh yeah, you're too busy sucking on Mayweather's cock to use logic.
wow.....
Look
Oscar De La Hoya First 4 PPV Total Money
Totol Money: 57.4 Million
1. Rafael Ruelas (5/95) 330,000 buys = $9.9 million
2. Genaro Hernandez (9/95) 220,000 buys = $6.6 million
3. Miguel Angel Gonzalez (1/97) 345,000 buys = $12.1 million
4. Pernell Whitaker (4/97) 720,000 buys = $28.8 million
Floyd first 4 P.P.V
1.Gatti: 15. 3 Million
2.Judah: 15.7 million
3.Baldomir : $16.3 million
4.De La hoya: $120.0 million
Floyd did 350,000 with Judah
(http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Chee/Chee0413c06.htm)
Floyd vs. Gatti = 340,000 PPV
(http://boxing.about.com/b/2005/07/01...pv-success.htm)
Floyd vs . Carlos Baldomir = 325,000 PPV buys
(http://www.fightnews.com/fightnews_2...VefLFmoxo.html)
Numbers dont lie..........
So you just admitted that he sold barely 20,000 more buys after 9 years into his career than Oscar did in his first PPV only 3 years into his career.
Numbers, indeed, do not lie.
But yeah, you're right. Mayweather is a bigger draw. :tool:

Numbers dont lie..........
Had Oscar fought Judah, gatti, and Baldy at the same point in his career he would have blown those numbers out of the water. Oh wait thats right Oscar destroyed gatti years before Floyd ever got to him.
17 fights, actually. And he fought all of them within 3 years of going pro. Pretty impressive.
EXACTLY!!!!! How long has it taken Floyd to get to this point, with the help of Oscar? They so conveniantly ignore this fact.
It took Oscar something around 20 fights to get on P.P.V
and that with No Problems....,and a Gold Medal in his Pocket....
Now Floyd could of been on P.P.V after his 23Rd fight Agaisnt
with Corralles
But Bob Arum was only focus on Oscar and MAB at the time
(nobody agrue that)
PLUS Floyd had no Gold Medal because he got robbed... He had Court Problems, and he Wasnt the "Smile all the time boxer like Oscar is..""
In 2001 after he beat Corralles.....
he called out Morralles, MAB, Prince Hamed FOR p.p.v FIGHTS and Arum didnt make it happen because why....
MAB was with Top rank..., and he gave Hamed to MAB insted of Mayweather...
So its not Floyd fault.....It's Top Rank Fault
But when floyd did get on P.P.V you could see where his following was at....!
AND FACTS ARE FACTS
Floyd 1st Four P.P.V
beats
Oscat 1st Four P.P.V
You have to look at what Oscar has meant to the sport of boxing . He pretty much carried the sport throughout the peak of his career. He has been the biggest draw over about a decade since Tyson. he also has had the ability to draw the casual fan that is not a die hard boxing fan. He has been able to bring people to the sport that would not normally be attracted to it, and that is something that Floyd has never been able to do and will never be able to do because the majority of people outside of hard core fans that appreciate his skill, do not like his personality and the way he carries himself. he does not have the drawing power or the charisma to bring people to the sport, and don't mistake berating opponents and disrespecting legends for charisma. Bottom line. Stop looking through the Floyd tunnel vision and step outside the box and look at it from a broader perspective of the typical fan, and being on dancing with the satrs does not make him a household name. Hell have you seen some of the clowns anb has beens they bring on that show?
