There's a lot of hype going into this fight, especially with the 24/7, and a lot of people are looking forward to it. It has what u want in a fight: contrasting styles and cultures, undefeated champs pretty much in their primes, large fan bases, and 2 strong personalities (like them or not), but is this just gonna be another rather easy win for Mayweather? Really think about it. There's all this hype, but let's not get too caught up in it. I'm not necessarily a fan of either of them, but i think floyd's just gonna take him pretty easily, which is what the general consensus seems to be.
rogelio1289 you obviusly dont have a clue what your talking about. waving ur big floyd sig about arse licking floyd. saying its hattons first ppv when it isnt so shut get ur facts right bro b4 u say shit. i watched hatton and castillo on ppv and urango and he has hasd others against english fighters in the past so ..sushhh
That's because you guys are the only morons that would pay to watch him fight. and the promoters over there rape you guys because over there is the only place they can make real money off hatton. This is his first REAL and i repeat REAL ppv. and probably last for a while people will not pay to see a hatton fight after he losses unless he fights dlh and once again the draw will be dlh not hatton. I kinda feel bad you have to pay to watch those fights. those fights were free here and the ratings weren't even that good lol :owned: by hatton's promoters

I actually think that it will be a decent piece of a fight for what it will be worth. Better than DLH/Mayweather because Hatton comes forward more and PBF will let his hands go more. But at the end of the day I can't envision a working strategy for Hatton to win right now (other than some of the nonsense going around by his trainers, which I'm not buying).
Hagler was close to breaking Monzon's record, and Spinks just moved up to HW to beat Larry fuckin' Holmes.
I dont think anyone on earth rated Curry above those two.
My post was to point out the fact that you and the other two threw quite a bit of bullshit in the thread. I was not making a point about the outcome of the fight, or the size of the upset.
Actually some people were calling Curry P4P no.1 at that time - some people were even predicting that he would be the man to move up and eventually topple Hagler - so I dispute the fact that I've posted any bullshit. Personally I never thought he was but that's neither here nor there.
Jermain Taylor is on a higher level than Hatton. And I am as far from a Stammer fan as you will find.
Jermain Taylor is on a sensibly lower level than Hatton. And it is ONLY the bias of living in this country who can make you say otherwise.
Hatton will come to fight there is no doubt about that, but I think Floyd's better athletic ability will come through in the end. He wins decision now at 147 and I see him doing it again. The thing I want to see though is how Floyd is going to handle Hatton's body shots, if Hatton lands those pretty consistently the fight is going to be very interesting. Im definitely going to get the fight even though I don't think it will be very exciting. Mayweather hits you and gets out of the way and Hatton hits and holds. Let's see which man imposes there style on the other.
Oh you mean all those little guys he fought until he moved up!!! Hatton beat a washed up really already retired Kostya Tszyu and who else!!! Name a in there prime world class fighter that Hatton beat, there are none!!!
Nice moving of the goalposts there, real class. I suppose you were one of the zero people who predicted a Hatton win against Tszyu and said he was washed up before the fight were you? Tszyu who was ranked number three pound for pound by the Ring magazine, Tszyu who had been at the top of the Junior Welterweight rankings for years, he was suddenly washed up after a competitive fight in which he was systematically broken down and outwilled?
You know something, you should spend more time watching actual fights and less time regurgitating the opinions of others on the internet, because this "washed up Tszyu" myth is nothing new, the same thing is claimed by all those people who for some reason cannot give credit to someone who they are not a fan of. Tszyu was a great win and a fantastic performance against world class opposition. This isn't just some Hatton nutrider claiming this. This was the opinion of every decent boxing analyst out there.
Mayweather is not Micky Ward and if you want to see Hattons chances as a welterweight just watch the Callazo fight again.
I've watched the Collazo fight at least five times. Rikcy had a bad performance against a much bigger southpaw fighter who is now campaigning at Junior Middleweight. He made a few mistakes, paid for them and still won the fight. For the record Hatton has this one chance to beat Floyd. Floyd is a better fighter, but he's not ready for Hatton. He genuinely seems to think Hatton is a come-forward one dimensional fighter like Gatti and that he'll dispatch him without much effort after "whupping" the great Oscar De La Hoya... And to help him in this end he's enlisted the services of Lovemore N'Dou and Carlos Baldomir! Floyd wins any rematch in my opinion, but Hatton wins this one.
Hatton is a great guy and Mayweather is a lot like punk fighter Mike Tyson
Haha "Floyd is like Mike Tyson"? Have you only heard of two fighters?
Even watching the 24/7 documentary on HBO really shows the difference in hand speed.
The two guys train in different ways. Floyd uses complex hand pad routines done at high speed that taxes his uncle Roger as much as it taxes Floyd himself. Hatton hits that body-belt and hand pads at full force. Now I'm not saying one style is right and one is wrong, but it's like comparing apples to oranges.
As I've said little bull against the matador. The bull always loses.
Aside from the fact that you are yet again regurgitating the opinions of others and trying to pass them off as your own (the phrase about the bull and the matador posseses an eloquence that the rest of your tedious writing lacks), you're completely wrong.
Ali - Frazier 1
Lamotta - Robinson 1
Duran - Leonard 1
Basilio - Robinson
Hagler - Hearns

Hatton has broken down most of his opponents with a mixture of body and head shots, including Kostya Tszyu. His style is to break down opponents. Pointing out the ONE FIGHT which supports your position over and over is dishonest.
Oh you mean all those little guys he fought until he moved up!!! Hatton beat a washed up really already retired Kostya Tszyu and who else!!! Name a in there prime world class fighter that Hatton beat, there are none!!! Hatton got his reputation alot like Gatti, by being in thrilling fights against fairly matched opposition. Mayweather is not Micky Ward and if you want to see Hattons chances as a welterweight just watch the Callazo fight again. Hatton fans don't want to talk about that fight because it just reinforces the point that Hatton can't win against Mayweather!! Hatton is a great guy and Mayweather is a lot like punk fighter Mike Tyson but that doesn't change the fact that on his best day Colazzo is a low top ten Welterweight that pounded Hatton every round and Mayweather is a pound for pound great fighter who will hit him twice as much as Colazzo did. Hattons only saving grace in this fight is the fact Mayweather is not a hard puncher so it should go the distance unless Hatton's face swells up so much he can't see. Even watching the 24/7 documentary on HBO really shows the difference in hand speed. As I've said little bull against the matador. The bull always loses.
LMAO DEC 8TH CANT COME ANY FASTER. AND YOU GUYS HAVE NERVE TO TELL THEM TO STUDY BOXING LMAO. CAUSE SOMEONE COMES FORWARD THEY AUTOMATICALLY WIN A FIGHT LMAO. CASTILLO WAS A WAY BETTER TECHNICAL BODY PUNCHER, PRESSURE, SKILLED FIGHTER THEN HATTON WAS AND MAYWEATHER BEAT HIM TWICE. HATTON IS A CHUMP IN HIS FIRST PPV. IF HE'S SUCH A MONSTER AND A DRAW WHY IS THIS HIS FIRST PPV LMAO. IF IT WASNT FOR FLOYD HE STILL WOULDNT HAVE A PPV. HE'S IN IT FOR THE MONEY AS MUCH IF NOT MORE THEN MAYWEATHER HE KNOWS HE HAS NO CHANCE AGAINST MAYWEATHER DID YOU NOT SEE HIS LAST FIGHT AT THIS WEIGHT CLASS AGAINST AN AVERAGE COLLAZO LMAO. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HE'LL HANDLE MAYWEATHER LMAO GET THE F OUTA HERE. ALL YOU PEOPLE HATE FLOYD SO MUCH YOU JUST WANT TO ROOT AGAINST HIM NO MATTER WHO HE FIGHTS BUT NOTHING WILL CHANGE HE WILL CONTINUE TO BEAT EVERYONE. HATTON ACTUALLY OUT OF FLOYDS LAST 4 OR 5 OPPONENTS HAS THE BEST CHANCE TO GET STOPPED. WAKE UP PEOPLE

That old ass Lord of the Rings lookin ass on 24/7 said Hatton could hurt you with one body shot, granted it was a sweet shot on Castillo, but whens the last time you seen Ricky Hatton break anyone down, let alone with a single body shot? Rarely, if not ever.
Hatton has broken down most of his opponents with a mixture of body and head shots, including Kostya Tszyu. His style is to break down opponents. Pointing out the ONE FIGHT which supports your position over and over is dishonest.
I think Hatton will put up a better fight than what you guys say BUT I don't think he will win, I think for the most part he will just relentlessly attack Floyd, I'm talking harder than he has ever done to anyone, maybe Tszyu and Urango combined but I think Floyd will out do him, he will find the right space to block all of Hattons shots and basically use his elbow to create striking room, I see Floyds longer arms and secretive power playing a BIG role in this one, I think for the most part Hatton will be GAME, no doubt about it but I think Floyd takes this off of pure skills, he will make Hatton hit everything BUT his target whether it be a shoulder instead of face or an elbow instead of arm and EVERYTIME he misses in that way Floyd will land at least 1 or 2 good on the eye shots and get the fuck up outta dodge.. 100
I said arguably because at the time he really was rated that highly.
Besides, that's a moot point. Hatton has more chance of beating Mayweather than Honeyghan did Curry, than Douglas did Tyson.
Upsets happen. If December 8th proves to be an upset it won't be a massive one so it's funny how people write Hatton off.

Jones was 35
Hopkins 40
Next, please
Taylor on the same level as Hatton? Please...
How come you forgot Tarver, btw?
HAHHAHAHAHAHHAH
OH MY GOD Marvin Hagler? Michael Spinks?

The concensus from down here in the UK i imo, is that hatton will win, the closer the fight gets the more i feel its gonna be close and to be honest stranger things have happened in sport than hatton beating mayweather.
To be honest, mayweather is perhaps underated here, with a some people thinking mayweather is another big mouth Jeff Lacy type who will get found out,
We shall see what happens.
It kinda wierd i cant find any mayweather training videos about for this fight, does anybody know if there are any outthere where he is training for hatton (not the snippets on 24/7) or has floyd totally locked himself in camp?
bet yer allowance on it newb!
Evey hyped up so called p4p king has been dethroned by medocre at best opposition.
Jones lost to Tarver twice
Hopkins lost to Taylor twice
both were considered even better than mayweather is now.
Just like before you so called fans will get a rude awakening come dec8th.
Try to study the game before making ignorant ass statements like this!
Jones was 35
Hopkins 40
Next, please
On the contrary. P4P kings did not lose to scrubs like Hatton in their prime.
Name the P4P kings and the semi-bums they lost to ...while that top guy was still peak.
Lemme help you...
Oscar lost to Shane.
Shane lost to Forrest.
Tito lost to Hopkins.
Hopkins lost to Taylor.
Pernell lost to Oscar.
Chavez "lost" to Pernell.
Taylor on the same level as Hatton? Please...
How come you forgot Tarver, btw?
Don Curry was arguably the P4P king when he lost to Honeyghan. Even the British press didn't give Honeyghan a chance in that one.
What's to say Hatton can't emulate that result? It's boxing...upsets are upsets and they're certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.
HAHHAHAHAHAHHAH
OH MY GOD Marvin Hagler? Michael Spinks?
Hatton is going to knock Floyd out, No Doubt!
Floyd is not prepared to go to war, which he will have to do to even compete with the Latin Assassinater Hatton.

well its actually his first PPV in the states. his fight against Castillo was on regualr HBO not PPV. i guess it was overseas then.
nobody knows whos gonna win. if the person ya said happens to win ya just had the right pick. doesnt mean ya knew. anything can happen. it just a prediction. who said Htton is just gonna come foward. he can box. he just doesnt lately. he faster and i think he can pressure Floyd a lot better than Castillo. if i had to pick i'd pick Floyd by UD. he aint gonna go to war like he says. hes full of shit. he'll box not fight.
.

Its messed up how the PPV is gonna be $54.99 when both of them are boring as hell. Mayweather hits and run, Hatton hits and hold. I like Sinclairs chances better.
What are you saying that to watch this fight in the U.S It will cost $54.99?
I think Floyd will win a wide UD, but I'd love to see a Hatton win, just to witness the reaction of Floyd's legion of obnoxious nuthuggers, who idolize another man far more than any heterosexual male should, while relentlessly talking shit about every other fighter in the sport.
tell em easton they are gonna wake up on dec 8th
