this fight prime for prime. i think wlad is in his prime now, who you got in this fight? In my opinion lewis would jump on him real early, similar to what we saw in the golota and grant fights and knock him out inside three rounds. Lewis fought and dealt with big guys very well usually
this ant serious Wlads jst a slowass robot a prime Lewis would whip his ass all ova the ring
Yup, Wlad ain't no Oliver McCall or Hasim Rahman, that's for sure.:ugh:
oh please. tua made rahman look like ali. lewis had a good jab but it wasnt a great jab. wlads is better hands down
Are you serious? A 6'5" guy out boxed a 5'10" guy? HOLY COW.
its just clearly the haters saying that Lewisws jab was better, its nonsense, all they have to do is watch a few Lewis and Wlad fights and its clear whos jab is better
I agree. Its obvious wlads jab is both quicker and stronger than lewis's. wlad just has a much better overall left hand than lewis did. lewis was out jabbed by bruno and mercer for christ sakes. lewis's ticket was his monster right hand/uppercut and poise under pressure
Prime Lewis beat Tua, Holyfield, Tyson and Grant. Klitschko has beaten Byrd, Bewster and Brock. Different time and place for both fighters, as for Klit, he's never looked 100% convincing in a BIG fight.
lewis obviously beat the better opposition but holyfield and tyson were shells of themselves and I cant believe you had the balls to mention grant,,lol
completely agree.... the tua fight was one of the finest displays of boxing i have ever seen from a heavyweight, beautiful.
oh please. tua made rahman look like ali. lewis had a good jab but it wasnt a great jab. wlads is better hands down
Wlad's new improved defence would be too good for Lewis, Wlad would land a straight right hand on the chin and KO Lewis. People say Wlad is chinny, but Lewis is also chinny. Wlad may get knocked down by Lewis' best punch, but he will always get up. Lennox Lewis is a different story, he would get knocked out cold by Wlad's best punch, Lewis dosen't have the heart to beat the 10 count(Rahman and McCall).
says the guy with shevchenko the ukranian hero in his profile....
whats the problem with that? Im ukranian but I dont make judgements based on that, Wlads jab is better
I have already been told I am wrong for thinking such rubbish..
its just clearly the haters saying that Lewisws jab was better, its nonsense, all they have to do is watch a few Lewis and Wlad fights and its clear whos jab is better
This would be an intriguing match…
Both are extremely similar fighters. Big, tall fighters with somewhat suspect chins (Although I think some people blow their suspect chins out of proportion and instead use it as a crutch for explaining why they simply don’t like them.) Also, both are smart fighters who don’t let their emotions override their fight plan.
In any case, the skills I just listed would be even and of no particular advantage for either boxer when fighting each other. Here is the rest of the break down:
Klitschko has a devastating jab, one of the top jabs in heavyweight history. He uses to create openings in order to set up a good, hard right. Unlike most heavies is adept at fighting on the outside and in fact is more comfortable with it. Is deadly accurate and does not waste punches. Has good, but not devastating power and his knockouts come more often from the aggregate of punches landed.
On defense, he relies on size and tie-ups. Shows great body movement for a big guy. Head movement is ok, but like most tall boxers tends to abandon it as the fight goes on, again relying on his height more than anything else.
Lewis also had a great jab, though it was a notch below Klitschko’s. Had great, underrated power. Had the capability of landing that “one punch” that could instantly turn a fight in his favor. Was often more accurate than his opponent but could sometimes waste a punch of two going for a KO. Also preferred to fight on the outside but was as well a very good inside fighter.
On defense, he was much like Klitshko as he used his size to his advantage. But also could parry better than any other boxer I have ever seen before. This was especially effective considering his size. Below-average head movement. Could get lazy on defense sometimes leaving his chin exposed.
If these two fought I would see it going all 12 rounds. Klitchko has a great jab, perhaps only second in heavyweight history to Holmes. But even still I could see it nullified by Lewis’s parrying skills. Both boxers would get frustrated at times but I see Lewis landing the harder blows. Lewis wins by UD, probably taking most of the later rounds after landing the harder blows throughout the fight. But scores would be close. In fact, if they fought a trilogy of fights it would not be surprising for Klitschko to win one of them considering their skill set is so close. Also, since both are smart fighters if they fought a trilogy I could see a KO in the third fight as one of them would most likely have figured out the other by then.
is their any win u dont wanna discredit Lewis for ?
I have Lewis as one of my top 10 ATG, but was he unbeatable? Of course not. I'm not saying Wlad has had a more impressive career, though he's not even close to being done, and I'm not saying Wlad would beat Lennox easily. But people that are giving him ZERO chance aren't being realistic.
at the time he fought grant pretty much everyone in america was convinced he was the seconf coming of christ... that was until lewis laid him out for fun. the same can be said of golota. he completely dominated holyfield. he beat bruno and ruddock, botha, briggs the list continues. his resume is very impressive. if lewis was american he would be universally considered a top 3 heavy of all time (which by the way he is)
Spot On ,i agree
