In 1 hour, ESPN Classic will show... TiTo vs. Mayo Fight.
I liked the Tito - Vargas fight better, but I am still good as I love to see when MaYo dares TiTo to punch him in the face with his arms down. That Nicaraguan SonOfABitch sure does have a great pair of COJONES. TiTo stood there for a few seconds in disbelieve... WATCH THE FIGHT!!! :boxing:
No matter how many times I watch this fight, it's a classic. I never seen a guy take punishment like Mayorga... (Maybe Rocky... lol) TiTo kicked his ass and he refused to go down. I was a TiTo fan, but Mayorga earned my deepest respect with this fight. If only Mayweather had 1/13th of Mayorga's cojones, he would had chosen to fight Cotto before that joke of a fight with Hatton.
Not arguing hos power-- of course he has it. I'm arguing a trend in his opponent selection.
And yes- Tito softened them up. And LMAO at you trying to say that COREY SPINKS softened Ricardo Mayorga up.
Delahoya fought Trinidad more so then Trinidad fought Delahoya.
I was surprised at how easy it was for Delahoya to beat Trinidad. In Mayweather fashion Delahoya was boxing Trinidad. Just as Cotto was boxing Mosley?
It was tito who didn't want the rematch.
Good bye.
Why didn't you answer the above post? Spinks put Mayorga over the hill, right?
And a roided up Vargas still was scarred from the Tito damage; make no mistake. Funny how he didn't choose to fight Vargas despite the jawing from Nando, until then.

Easy? I had it one point for Delahoya because he chose to do some roadwork in the later rounds. That aint an easy win.
Are they or are they not softened up by that Tito power? We know the answer-- so did Oscar. That's why he fought them. That's why he DIDN'T fight Tito.

Soften up? Might as well give Chavez credit for softing up Camacho. Or Spinks for softening up Spinks the list goes on.
Didn't Vargas give Delahoya a tough fight? If a recall correctly he did.
Face it, Delahoya has power in his hands. If you don't belive me then you must have been in diapers when Delahoya started his boxing carrer.

Man i guess those fighters should have just retired after they faced tito because after tito beat them why should they continue to look for glory and money. I say anybody who tito already beat should retire.

Didn't Tito beat Camacho first? And Oba Carr? And Vargas? And Campas?
Maybe I'm mistaken. Sorry.

You mean, Tito treading over Spinks left overs? Didn't Spinks beat Mayorga first? Yes, he did.

...............................and knew if he did so with Delahoya he'd get ko'd instead of bitch slapped by Trinidad.
No, thats just what you think. Mayorga took a number of powerful lazer beams, I dont see ODLH landing a 1 punch kayo on him.
He didnt do it with ODLH because he figured out it was a bad idea back in the Tito fight.

Delahoya treading over Tito's leftovers? Oh, ok. Aint nothing new, anyway.

Theres a reason why Mayorga didn't "invite delahoya to punch him" but the end result of the fight was the same as if Mayorga had invited delahoya to punch him.

What does this have to do with anything?
I just finished watching it.
I wish it would've been HBO commentary.
Lampley:
"And that left to the body DEMOLISHED MAYORGA AND HIS ANCESTORS!! Absolutely DEMOLISHED them!"
Merchant:
"Sometimes...(3 seconds).. letting people hit you on the chin...(4 seconds)... will get you knocked out."
Cotto runs from Mosley like an 8 year old from a pedophile.
Meanwhile, Mayorga INVITES Tito to punch him. Good stuff.

who is the commentator?
Don't know- they've been using weird ones. Did you hear the commentator they had for Vargas-Wright? Dude was a mess. He said that Quartey beat Delahoya for the Welterweight title. WTF!?
