Mosley can ride off into the sunset with his head held high. The Mosley vs. Cotto fight was so close that if it was scored a draw that would have been. Cotto being declared the winner was fine with me. If Mosley would have been named the winner I would have saw nothing wrong with that either.
IMO Mosley should take advantage of what skills he has left his place among the best is already assured & he does'nt really have anything to prove ,however i think he should continue & identify the weaker Champions in a certain division & try and enhance his reputation and status even further
he still has enough left to beat other mediocre champions
As long as fight fans are willing to pay big bucks to see him fight , he'll continue. The money would be just a hard thing to resist. I don't believe fight fans are that dumb so another big fight right after the Cotto loss doesn't seem to be in the cards so I'll bet he retires but you never can tell look at Holyfield. They'll wheel him up to the ring and remove his drool cup so he can fight and folks will pay to see it!!
if he retires then we should all thank him for giving us so many great boxing memories. he's the best fighter i have seen during the 10 years i've been following boxing and will go down as one of the greatest lightweights of all time, if not the best. but like you guys say he'll prob want to go out on a win and i hope he does
I really hope he doesn't retire, Cotto is one of my favorite fighters and I'm very excited that he won the fight, but I think Mosley deserved a shot at Mayweather and should still market himself for a fight with him. I think Mosley is one of the few fighters still out there that can actually beat Mayweather. I think he should fight Mayorga if he wins the upcoming bout with Vargas. I think Shane still has the status to challenge one of the top WW like Margarito, Cintron or Williams. If Williams loses the fight with Cintron I think a bout between Williams and Mosley would be incredible
I don't think so because the way he losses that fight is not a loss. In my opinion that fight is draw. He must fight Cotto again. The way he fights he can fight 2-3 fights more.

Cotto beat Mosley with decision that was unanimous from the judges. Cotto did more than enough during the remainder of the fight to warrant the victory, with some solid boxing early on and sweet counter combos in the latter rounds. What makes you think the fight should've been a draw?
After his loss to Cotto do you think Mosley will retire?

I think he probably has 2-3 more fights in him. I'd see him fighting another 2 solid fighters and depending on if he wins than he leaves the ring. I could see him fighting maybe Judah, Forrest (to prove something to himself), maybe Mayorga. I dont think he would like to end his career in defeat. Great fighter, one of the best of our times.

I don't think he has anything to be ashamed of after a great career, and putting up a damn good fight against one of the top WW in the world, but he might want to go out on a win. Sounds like he wants to kick back and train his son though.
