Speaking of the gloves..
HBO had the promo fights on last night.
Cotto's gloves fucking kill me.
I've mentioned this a few times..
They must use some BRUTE strength to force those bad boys so far down on his forearm. Then they bone stitch tape them fuckers almost to the tip all the way across the label. His gloves look like tiny hooks wrapped over a ridged fist. You can practically see his knuckles.
They're pulled and wrapped so tight the head of the glove literally breaks and tilts off to one side.
No wonder his opponents reel back like that when they get hit. It must fucking hurt. Cotto is known for busting guys up.. No fucking wonder.
Cotto's opponents have some very interesting injury's fighting him..
Uncommon ones.
How is that Cotto doesn't hit hard enough to knock opponents down or out very often - and yet he leaves all sorts of lacerations, symmetrical bruises, fractures, and other bizarre looking damage??? To get those kind of specific injury's takes a specific trauma. But somehow the damage is concentrated cosmetically on the surface, and not deeper in the tissue? I'm not a forensic scientist but even I realize that doesn't quite add up.. Nope.
Dude hits hard but I'm not blind. I know what I see.
Hopefully Mosley's camp does his gloves like that.
I doubt it though.
Keep an eye on Cotto's gloves tonight, I know I will..

How big is the ring?
Hows going to be the ref?
what size gloves are being used?
The ring and the gloves sure made a difference in the Leonard/Hagler fight.
