I strongly believe that Joe Calzaghe is the true #1 p4p fighter in boxing ahead of Pacquiao and Mayweather. The Ring p4p rankings are a joke, they're biased towards Americans and predjudiced against European fighters. Calzaghe is (44-0 32 KO's) and he has been the Champ for over 10 years with 21 title defences. Joe wins his fights convincingly and he isn't afraid to take risks in the ring, he is a true warrior. Who do you think is the true #1 P4P fighter out of the big 3?
Castillo amounted more effective offense against hatton than Baldomir, De La Hoya, or Gatti in their fights vs Floyd, yet wins against them are incessantly crowed about.
You have a damn low opinion of the offense Oscar mounted considering you thought he won that fight. Pretty ridiculous statement, pick one and go with it, either Oscar won the fight, or he didn't mount an effective offense at all, it can't be both.
Gatti didn't mount an offense because he was getting the shit slapped out of him, he did try to throw punches in the first couple of rounds.
Baldomir tried to throw a bunch of punches, but elusiveness on Floyd's part made it so his offense was ineffective. When is the last time you saw Ricky Hatton move out of the way of a punch?
And that had NOTHING to do with Hatton, OK buddy.:nonono:
Emanuel Steward: "I was surprised how bad he looked in the first 10 seconds."
Did you not see his ass fall down multiple times from Hatton clinching him?
No his balance didn't have anything to do with Hatton, because it was fucked before the fight even started, he looked terrible before the first punch was even landed.
I was saying he was extremely faded in the Hatton fight. He couldn't even stand on his fucking feet. His balance was more fucked than Jenna Jameson.
He was very good in his prime, probably an A fighter You have to be pretty diminished to not mount a single piece of effective offense.

He was very good in his prime, probably an A fighter (A+ is not a rating to be taken lightly)... probably a B minus/C plus fighter. You have to be pretty diminished to not mount a single piece of effective offense.

You're saying Castillo was not that good IN HIS PRIME, but by most accounts he beat a prime Mayweather. Then you're saying a year and a half after knocking out Corrales in the 4th round (arguably Mayweather's biggest and most impressive win in the 10th round, and winning his two fights since, all of a sudden turns into a BUM, just because Hatton beats him, I just don't get it. Call him a B fighter when Hatton beat him if it makes you feel better, but anything less than that is a crock.

Sorry, not prime, just an A class fighter. Which is even worse, how fucking good do you think he was in his prime? I mean, if he is A class when he is faded, what letter comes before A that you would give to Castillo?

I never ever said Castillo was prime, in my original statement I said he was fading when he fought Hatton. And Baldomir was a club fighter at best.
A club fighter who went around the world to fight and get his chance as well as staying undeafted for couple of years and about 19 fight is a hard thing to do.
He got his chance against Zab and fought he ass off.
There is this interview with Kenny Brain after pre-Zab fight people said he should be fighting Baldomir
...........A+..............which is what Castillo was in his prime, IMO.
Nobody drops half a letter grade when their balance is so bad. Castillo really would have gotten charged with a DUI if he had gotten pulled over on the way home from that fight. Pretty sure walking a straight line was an impossibility for that night.
If Castillo was A that night... he must have been A++++++++++++++++++ in his prime.

I'll shelve that next to the prime Castillo vs. Hatton claim.
Any other gems you want to add?
Carlos Baldomir was robbed vs. Mayweather perhaps?

I think Floyd stayed at 130 so long, SO HE WOULDN'T HAVE TO FIGHT A PRIME DE LA HOYA.

So it doesn't matter that De La Hoya was coming down from 160 back to 154 and Floyd was coming up from 147?
Please keep in mind that De La Hoya started at 130, and had to dry himself out like mad to get down there. See how fast he got out of that weight class? Floyd probably could have started at 126... instead he started at 130, and stayed there for a long time... because he was not as big as someone who had to dehydrate himself 100% to get down there.

that was 4 classes above DELA HOYS's orginal weigh too...:owned:
I didnt even menton Kessler..
Floyd didnt fight guys like Casa or Spaddy..yet he fought Sosa a guy Spaddy ALREADY beat?? way to clean out your division.

Fuck off with spaddy, he actually got offered a fight with floyd apparently and didnt wanna play, fuck what you saw on you tube, mayweather was in training spaddy was meant to be in fight condition.
Casamayor is pure class, but people also say he didnt wanna fight floyd, and to be honest, floyd would beat casamayor 9/10, he is faster, more skilled and more powerful. But casamayor is class.
Point is, what does this have to do with that beltholders shit you pulled eariler, fuckin valev was a belt holder, Henry Akinwande was a beltholder, frank bruno was a beltholder.
Having a belt doesnt make the fighter and calzaghe hasnt even fought that many world champions i dont think, hasnt mayweather faced summin like 12 world champions? (Easy e has the stats on this, ask him)
And as for de la hoya, he was alot bigger than mayweather, which is why he came in nearly a stone heavier on fight night and still lost, you may have seen that, or were you watching Joe Calzaghe vs Evans Ashira instead?
