He's about to argue why he thinks the Contender fight was the he'd ever seen on Sportscenter. Vasquez/Marquez 2 was better, the first eight rounds of Mormeck/Bell the same.
they said he's washed up after 2 KOs
I mean, he showed he at least has a serviceable chin. More so than I'd thought after the Green fight. He needs to use his boxing skills though. He has power, sure, but he isn't the type of fighter that is going to win in a slugfest. He should have stayed on the outside of Bika, rotated to his own right, and counter punched the Bika's looping blows. Had he done that, I think it would have been an easy decision for him, maybe even a KO if he landed his short hooks to the chin a couple times.
If he can get over it mentally he can still have a decent career, though I don't see him as a real contender at 168, that's for sure.
To Ko's in brutal fashion can mess up anyone's career.
He is still young, he needs to fight 5-6 handpicked opponents, get strong and get comfortable in the ring and then step up and fight someone of Bika's caliber again.
That will be his best chance to be a top fighter.
I am actually, but Mosley/Cotto deserves to be discussed, and all it will get is a 60 second highlight Sunday morning. Which pisses me off. Oh and last time they fucked his name up and had his brother's picture next to his name. Boxing deserves better.
Showtime did that too more than once.
They put Rafael's picture up for Juan Manuel's.. Those fucking idiots..
The fight was a great slugfest, and him being there ringside, or close to it, probably made it that more exciting. He may not get the chance to actually be at many fights due to his duties at espn.
Yeah, espn needs to cut into the thousands of hours of nfl coverage (draft, fantasy) and give boxing more love on the nightly broadcasts. It also hurts boxing that the highlights can never be shown on sportcenter, just the still shots-not very exciting

He very well could be, his next couple outings will prove whether this is true or not.
He gave the fans an incredible fight. He showed alot of heart for being 23 years old and knowing that after Green caught him that people expect him to crumble right away. He didn't, he was in a true firefight for 7-8 rounds and he went to war. Very courageous, but after being knocked out like that for 2 fights, it's very difficult to come back from.
Other than Roy (but he was already declining) name me another fighter who has been stopped twice like that and continued on just as good as he was before. You've seen what's happened to Fernando, still very intelligent but nowhere near the fighter he was for the Tito fight.
Beggars can't be chosers my friend. Sucks that they are saying Jaidon's career may be pretty much done after this fight.
Why may Jaidon's career be done?
the fightis up there in terms of excitement with marquez-vazquez 2 and taylor-pavlik......its not the same skill level but come on who doesnt like 2 guys punching the shit out of each other....right now im thinking its second to vazquez marquez 2 in FOTY potential....Vazquez-Marquez 2 has the controversial quick ending, against it.....and Taylor Pavlik has only 3 great rounds....
Yeah Im just happy that Sportcenter actually had a little segment about the fight. Anyway Boxing can get it is good for boxing. I agree those fights were as good or better than the Bika/Codrington, but boxing getting coverage on ESPN is good no matter what.
This was not even the fight of the year though!
Vasquez and Marquez dont even get covered and these two journeyman/contenders get all this air time. I'm sorry that bothers me.
You should appreciate the damn fight even being DISCUSSED on sportscenter.
