Imo it took Two rounds for Calzaghe to 'tune in' with his timing, his slapping combo's were getting through, and it completley snow blinded Kesler, his brain couldnt keep up with Joe's gloves. Also imo it took Two rounds for Kesler to realise he couldnt beat Joe. I also think Hopkin's is going to struggle against a more mobile Calzaghe.

Hopkins is shot Hopkins is going on 43 years old,plus this thread isn't about him, so why use him as a scapegoat?

Calzaghe was grossly under-rated until last year, but now he's grossly over-rated It's insane on both counts, IMO And Kessler seems to be over-rated, too

Not totally shot, but he just was not at the races on Saturday and only his quickness, chin and workrate saw him through His footwork, angles and movement just weren't there and neither was he able to sit down on anything, and he was only against a limited robot, most padded fighter in history and guy who won his titles against the two worst titlists in boxing I'm not sure what others are seeing, I saw a near-shot fighter making hard work of it against another somewhat average challenger Calzaghe beat a better boxer than Mikkel Kessler in better fashion seven years ago (in Richie Woodhall) Imo, both Kessler and Calz is overrated.. I wouldn't say Joe is shot though, but you've already clarified by stating that he isn't "totally shot"..

JuyJuy is right though. years back Calzaghe was KNOCKING PEOPLE OUT.. now i think hes changed his style to suite his injured left hand. Agreed, his style is far more about his boxing than power these days due to his injuries. In a lot of ways that's far more impressive.

No i don't agree at all. I think he maight just have been fighting carfully because of the class openent he was facing. and hey, he won didn't he, by far on the cards so who cares what he did to win.

Why is it that when A LOT of people are praising him and putting him higher (some even at the top) of the p4p list you say he's shot??
