Roman upsets Ouma!
Junior middleweight Saul Roman (28-4, 24 KOs) won a shock split decision over former IBF champion Kassim Ouma (25-4-1, 15 KOs) on Friday night at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, CA. Roman took the fight to the normally aggressive Ouma and won 95-94, 96-93 on two cards. Ouma, who was awarded a gift knockdown in round eight by referee James Jen Kin after landing a clear low blow, won 95-94 on the third card. Earlier in another shocker, unheralded featherweight Miguel Munguia (16-7-1, 13 KOs) outworked previously unbeaten Jose "Pit Bull" Diaz (14-1, 4 KOs) over ten rounds. Scores were 96-93, 95-94, 97-92. Diaz is the brother of WBA/IBF/WBO lightweight champion Juan Diaz.
Finally, some journeyman exposed big mouthed ouma is not really that special.
He is special you rarely seen a fighting getting knockdown and stand up going toe2toe with no power only volume to win.

The ref was terrible.. And I saw Ouma get low blowed a bunch of times.. What he was doing was retaliating and when Roman went down.. The ref blew it and called it a knockdown.
I thought the fight could've gone either way.
Im seeing the first round right now -west coast feed-. And Roman is a tall fighter. Looks like he hits hard too. He was an ex- super welterweight Champion of Mexico, so that should have given Ouma some inspiration. But as of right now, Ouma is not throwing as much punchs as he used to. But i think that may be that Roman hit that hard and Ouma is just keeping more on defense. Oumas punchs seem not to have any effect on Roman, at least in the first round.
mora doesn't have any power to keep ouma off him. Mora is a terrible excuse of a boxer.
I know this and think an avg Ouma would beat Mora I was just wondering how bad he looked or if Roman was just that good tonight......
