Dedicating the performance against Castillo to Diego Corrales' wife. That was an awesome "happy-sad" moment, and Hatton didn't have to do it. But he did, and it made me a Ricky Hatton fan.
Props to Ricky. :boxing:
I found the whole thing of the dedication to be subtly disrespectful. Like, when you think Castillo you think Corrales. And when you think Corrales, you think Castillo. I just thought it was kinda rude to knock Castillo out and then hug Corrales' wife and dedicate the fight to him. Maybe I am looking into this too much.
I know what u mean, but he was the right person to dedicate the fight to Corrales, especially as he beat Castillo, the guy who Corrales beat to secure his name in boxing history.
Castillo couldnt dedicate his lose. That would of been weird. And somone had to say somthing. It would of only been disrecpectful if no one said anything.
Props to Hatton for thinking of what boxing is really about after such a great victory. Most fighters would have been too hyper to think straight. Hatton is a true boxing fan. He knows and respects that the true nature of boxing lies in the spirit Corrales displayed throughout his career. Not the safe points victories of De La Hoya and Mayweather.

I think it is the opposite, I don't think Corrales's wife likes Castillo much. Remember, Michele Corrales just put a monstrous one punch KO on Castillo's life savings for not making weight in their third fight.
Ricky has class, heart and balls, that's something Floyd will never have.
Hatton vs Floyd - Hatton KO 11 from a trademark bodyshot to the liver.
Let's make a bet on that fight. I'll take 10,000 on Mayweather if you'd like.

Yeah I really like Ricky as a person I think he'd be a great guy to go out drinking with. But I just don't like the way he fights.
I respect Hatton for a lot of reasons. You could count that moment as one. Though it was a nice little PR move, I think he had good intentions behind it, aswell.
