Simple Question, so the Chris Byrd that beat David Tua and Evander Holyfield, could he out box and beat Mike Tyson?
Dont take this personally mate but Dont be Fuckin Stupid!!!! :pat:
Mike Tyson is no Tua! I like Tua he's a BEAST but he is a 1 dimensional plodder when u really break it down! Mike is So fast of hand and foot and can flip the angle on u in a hear beat! :boxing:
Ike was waaaaaaaaaay better, more skilled, and tougher than Tyson. thats not even a comparison. thats why Tyson ducked Ike. if Ike did not go to jail, he would have been dominate for a long time.
Whatever you're drinking,I want some.
One pop from Tyson can change alot of things around, just ask Tyrell Biggs. The first 2 minutes of the first round Biggs was out boxing Tyson and even talking shit to him!! They about 43 seconds in that round Tyson hit him with a bodyshot and all that movement like Ali disappeared and it went down hill from there with a torturing 6 rounds more.
I just can't imagine Byrd staying away from Tyson's big shots all night long. He beat Tua, but Tua just never had the fundamentals to do his power justice. Lets not forget something here though, in a fight like this you don't only need physical attributes, you need to be mentally tough. Ike Ibeabuchi, although troubled in his personal life, showed great mental toughness in the ring. I can't see Byrd surviving, but if Tyson was to get frustrated for the first few rounds he could blow the fight. Unlikely though IMO.
Simple Question, so the Chris Byrd that beat David Tua and Evander Holyfield, could he out box and beat Mike Tyson?
I'd say 5 out of 10 times he could.I mean it's hard to say but Byrd has a great chin too....he has been whacked by some big,big boys including both Klits and Ike Ibeauchi......Hell I bet he'd have Mike cheating his ass off trying to hit him by the 5th round.
I think its easy to judge Tyson from his more recent performances, rather than when he was a wrecking machine back in the late 80's.
Tyson had great movement and very fast hands in his prime not to mention his power.
He would figure Byrd out before the half way point and put him to sleep.
Well Tony Tucker held his own against a prime tyson and a young Byrd had MUCH more boxing ability than Tucker did.
byrd isn't 6'5, 230, with an 84 inch reach.
tucker was a true heavyweight, byrd really belonged at a lower weight class.
Ive said it before and i'll say it again, Tyson in his prime beats any fighter of any era
naa your right he could KO them all in consequetive 3 minute fights!
Not a chance Byrd survives a Prime Mike.
First, Mike could take Byrd's shots all night long, without being slowed down.
Second, and more important, Mike would eventually connect with something and slow Chris down enough to land a big shot, whether it was to the body or head wouldn't matter, it would throw Byrd off his game and cause him to turtle for a short spell, just long enough for Tyson to unload.
i think byrd would get stopped, like he did versus ike.
byrd may have been good enough to beat a prime quitali, but so what?
tyson, like wlad and ibeabuchi, would be too much for chris byrd.
I dont know why people compare Tyson and Ibeabuchi. Two very different styles. Tyson liked to bob n weave to get inside then throw power shots.
Ibeabuchi stuck behind a good jab and threw lots of punches he was more of a volume puncher.
Well Tony Tucker held his own against a prime tyson and a young Byrd had MUCH more boxing ability than Tucker did.
Tony Tucker wasn't a bad fighter, he did beat Buster Douglas. The difference between him and Byrd is that he's a natural heavyweight.
This is really a stupid question, of course Tyson would TKO his ass. You're forgetting that Tyson knows how to cut off the ring, and Chris Byrd isn't as slick as some people think, he sucks. He's a undersized heavyweight, with punches that hit hard as a pillow. Byrd doesn't have any power to to keep Tyson off, Tyson will simply just walk through his punches and send his ass packing with hooks to the body. Watching him fight is just ugly, I mean ugly as in amateurish. I can't believe some people honestly think he can beat a prime Tyson.
