Valuev! if anything, it's always the other way around
Yeah, he's a good pick. But he's the type of guy you don't need to intimidate to beat IMO. Just exploit his flaws and there you go.
It's not about toughness. It's about intimidation and which fighters cannot be intimidated. I've seen Lacy both intimidated and discouraged against Calzaghe.
So then its all about "MENTALITY."
If its about toughness. Jeff Lacy has to be mentioned, the guy takes a beating but never gives up.

What about the Tito fight? You can't give all the fault to his corner. He could easily went on with outboxing Tito
That was a stratgy. Hopkins did the same thing but from round 1, he boxed tito. Whititker did the same thing with Chavez he stayed away from him as much as he could. Its strategy. I thought this was about mentality.

Back in his day Marvin Hagler was nearly impossible to intimidate. Infact I've never seen him intimidated by anybody. Not Hearns nor Mugabi or Duran or Leonard.
Nowadays that mental thoughness goes to Bernard Hopkins.
Kasim Ouma and Edison Miranda are also impossible to intimidate due to unfortunate childhoods.

he was tired and respectful of tito's power, so he ran away.
still, going in the fight it wasn't like he was overly intimidated.
respectful, yes, maybe a little scared of the power, but in a good way where he was able to outbox trinidad and win 7 rounds.
Oscar Delahoya never seen him even flinch to any fighter.

i say kassim ouma.
anyone that was killing people on command at age seven is probably going to laugh at a man with gloves trying to scare him.
Good shout! I'll say Hopkins, super tough mentally
