who do you think was supossed to be the next champion and was hyped up at the beginning and turned out as a "bust"?
I go with Dominick Guinn

what about you guys?
Timor Imbragimov.
We went from contender to a C class fighter in just a couple of fights.
If Calvin Brock does not get into better shape, he will also be in the same boat soon.
buster douglas paper champ got broke.
Yeah but Douglas was just a bum that beat Tyson (see 10 million excuses here), no one really expected anything out of him.
some of you guys are just hating.. if I had to pick 1 fighter that somewhat let me down I would say it's Vicious Vivian Harris, I thought this kid was the shit, I really thought he was going to reign on the 140 pounders and solidify himself as a top contender, he had all the tools, he was quick, strong, agile, versatile and everything else but the one thing he didn't have was a strong jaw, sometimes a fighter looks phenomenal when he's doing what he knows but once he gets touched it's a wrap.. I still like him and I hope he bounces back, I'm disappointed but I'm not done with him yet, I'm waiting to see what he could do next to re-establish himself.. 100
Became two weight world champion so the hype was justified. I think the OP focused on fighters who didn't quite make it, that excludes a 140lb Ring champion.
I assume he was just playing.
Ricky Hatton

Golota, Michael Grant, Audley Harrison, and I hate to say it but I think ultimately Jeff Lacy will be a big letdown although probably too much success to be an actual bust.
luis collazo. good am fighter but seems to come up short when it counts. still a really good fighter, he is just in a ridiculously stacked division.
yup very true
