I just watched the fight and here is how I scored it:
Round 1 - Floyd 10-9
Round 2 - Floyd 10-9

Round 4 - Castillo 9-10
Round 5 - Floyd 10-9
Round 6 - Castillo 9-10
Round 7 - Castillo 9-10
Round 8 - Floyd 10-8 - Ref took away point from Castillo and Floyd was winning the Round.
Round 9 - Floyd 10-9
Round 10 - 9-9 - Ref took away point from Floyd and it was his best round of the fight.
Round 11 - Castillo 9-10 - Floyd stood right in front of him and they traded body shots. Castillo got the better of it.
Round 12 - Castillo 9-10 Castillo's most active round. He threw alot of combinations. His best round.
TOTAL = 114-112
6 rounds to 5 and 1 even.
Winner - Floyd Mayweather
both got a point deducted..... :lurk:
Yep, but mayweather was winning the round he got deducted i think, so im pretty sure i had that round a 9-9,
Wheras castillo was losing the round he got deducted, so i has it 10-8,
If mayweather lost, i would say, "Yeah, it was a close fight i thought castillo won, it doesnt matter to me"
But i made an effort to watch the fight expecting to see mayweather get hurt, and it was a fucking waste of time because i ended up not knowing what all the hype was about.
I reckon if people turn off the Moronic HBO Commentary and watch it, more of them score for mayweather,
Fortunately im one of the those people who can score without needing to do this, mainly because i can work out which punches catch arms, and which actually land.
It was the same in the de la hoya fight, floyd clearly won, but de la hoya blocked more of his shots than people realised.
Anyone who has actually seen that fight and knows how to score landed punches, can see mayweather wins a close fight, he convincingly won the first 5 and castillo got dedcuted points, and he was clearly hurt during the fight turning southpaw to aviod using the other hand as much, i scored it exactly the same as the judges.
*Awaits morons to scream "Mayweather lost" "Castillo was robbed"*
I dont knnow how losing the first 4/5 rounds of a fight and your opponent being deducted points consistutes a robbery.
The HBO commentary was disgrace, castillo wasnt landing as many shot as they'd believe and even during the end of the fight mayweather came forward and landed some cracking shots on castillo.

You've to admit that Wright rarely brawls?? Anyway I've to go now, I will be back tomorrow to PWN Azteca!
Have a good night!

That's why we don't have too many great boxers, defense is the most important part of boxing. Wright is your favorite fighter and he's 90% defense, you think Wright will be the same great fighter if he didn't had the great D??
Wright is my favorite because his defense is while going forward...theres no better defense for me than being in your face all night and still wont let you touch him....
come on gunny, then margarito beat willimas????if i remember correctly one guy more form the press had it for margarito than for williams and williams won that fight clearly.....castillo won the first fight clear and easy....its just that most americans overrate defensive based styles......remember defense is the 4th aspect of boxing you take into account...
Is this the like most talked about fight on this forums there is like hundreds if not thousands of threads about the fight look we cant go back in the past and rescore the fight what happened already happend. Can yall Floyd haters let this fight go and see what happens on December maybe Floyd will lose and you guys could be happy.
Damm seriously stop bringing up Castillo/Mayweather the fight already happened Floyd won simple fair and square why cant the Floyd haters realize he is the best p4p fighter as of right now.
Fair enough, I had Floyd clearly winning the De La Hoya fight, but then I pay more attention to punches LANDING than that one judge probably did. My problem with this fight is I saw 6 rounds that Castillo clearly won, 3 that Floyd clearly won, and only 3 to dispute. I would have been satisfied with a draw, Castillo would have kept his title (till the rematch) and Floyd would have remained undefeated.
That's a good way to end it. Either way it's a disputed and close decision.
It was Winky/Taylor-esque close. That fight still gets debated.
The same as the Delahoya fight. Fans saw Floyd coming late down the stretch and sweeping the rounds and one judge still managed to give it to Oscar.
That fight was clear to score. The last 4 rounds were clear to score which were the deciding rounds.
Castillo/Mayweather 1, alot of deciding rounds were hard to score. Most Anti-Floyd's are quick to jump to that fight and use it as an example where FLoyd lost, that's fine.......it's their right.
Castillo/May 2, alot less action and alot easier to score the rounds Floyd was winning because he was winning them clearly.

Probably not, because I watched a CLEAR video of the fight and to be honest I can't possibly see how ANYONE could score it for Mayweather, but I guess there's nothing to be done about it now. Pretty funny how the second fight 2 judges had Mayweather winning 7 rounds to 5 and everyone is pretty clear Floyd won that one.

Comprehension Skills please. I've stated multiple times that the only CLEAR thing in that fight was that it was close.
Can we move on now. I'm sensing that you're just looking for confrontation. This thing aint getting solved.

So even you disagree with the judges scoring? Oh well, that's something I guess.

But I didn't. I scored 6 rounds to 5 with 1 even. 114-112 for Floyd.
End of discussion.

To give Floyd 8 or 9 rounds like the judges did, you might as well give Floyd all 12 rounds and not even watch the fight.

That's your opinion. I scored the fight fair and balanced. If I really wanted to be a biased Floyd fan I could have given Floyd 8 or 9 out of the 12 rds but I didn't.
I scored it the way I saw it. The only sure thing in that fight was that it was close.........nothing you can say can change that.
