Pryor was way too fast for him. Could take a hell of a shot, and threw more combos then Ricky does by far. I dont think Aaron would let Ricky esablish any kind of rythem, and even if he did, it was because Pryor was taking the round off. Pryor TKO by Ricky's corner throwing in the towel.
This fight would have been a classic all out war with probably records set for most punches in a fight or a round. Who would win and why.
would have had a record for the most holds
This would be competitive for maybe 3-4 rounds then Pryor would dominate i cant see how anyone would think otherwise. Pryors faster, stronger, better puncher, more skilled and had an amazing workrate. Hatton would get overwhelmed
I like Ricky and in spite of 43 fights, he's still young so who knows (just turned 29), but from what I've seen from him so far, I think it would be a very exciting fight being stopped on cuts probably around rd 9, Pryor by TKO.
Pryor by KO
He has the same non-stop punching style as hatton but without the holding and more power.
Plus I loved it when he got knocked down, hope back up before the ref could start counting and knocked the other guy down. :cool2:
Pryor by assault with intent to kill. The Hawk was the definition of relentless. He would absolutely ruin Hatton & many other so called champs. It's no surprise that he was avoided by some of the greats back in his day sort of like Mike McCallum.
I pick Aaron Pryor, this guy was a puncher to the fullest and he wasn't a Ricky Hatton type puncher he was a Mayorga kind of puncher but unlike Mayorga Pryor had skills, Sugar Ray Leonard didn't even want no part of him and was called out by Pryor in a time where that fight could have went down but Leonard moved on, I don't think Ricky would have been able to do much against him, if Alexis Arguello who is a Nicaraguan legend couldn't do it then I don't see how Hatton could. Pryor lost when his best day was behind him and it was only 1 loss, you can tell his fire died down becuase he only had 3 more fights after his 1st loss against tomato cans who all folded, he was a beast and was relentless, out of 39 wins 35 of them were KO's and he took away many 0's from other fighters, this guy was just part of an era where it was brutal, they still had 15 rounds in his day and it was overall more fierce in all divisions. Ricky wont get killed but I just don't think he could do it, it would have been explosive but I think after the explosion Pryor would walk away the winner, Hatton is tough so maybe a decision but regardless how the outcome
IMO would be Pryor.. 100
I don't like to use generalizations but the 4 fuckers that thought Hatton would ko Aaron the Hawk Pryor don't know boxing. If he wasn't ducked by every big name he could ahve been top 10 one of the greatest fighters of all time.
Pryor is, PERHAPS, the BEST 140 of all time. Hatton, not yet. I mean, I don't knw if he could ever be, but he definetly isn't now. Pryor by TKO. He wears him down and tires him with a quick assault, a lot to the body. Moving too much for Hatton to swarm in, like he prefers to do. Hatton gets worn out and then taken out a LITTLE bit into or before the championship rounds.
Pryor is awesome and one of my favourite fighters, but I think Hatton would pose some problems and it would be close for a while but I agree I see Pryor taking it in the end

This would be an exciting but absolutely brutal beatdown. Pryor was in a different league. Pryor would probobly KO Hatton in 7 or 8.
It would definately be brutal and I see Pryor winning, but I don't think it would be a beatdown and I wouldn't say Pryor was in a different league. They were both tough and threw lots of punches and Pryor was probably the better boxer. I see Hatton cutting up in this fight, but if he could avoid the cuts he could push Pryor into the latter rounds. Could be one of those brutal fights where the commentators say early on this fight can't possibly go the distance and they both prove everyone wrong and have a ding dong battle for 12 relentless rounds.
