wow am i the only one seeing this as an unfair disadvantage for mayorga? but i guess its too bigg of a payday with washed up mayorga to pass up.
Im also thinking that the weight will be a big factor in the fight. Vargas is just way to big for Mayorga...
I actually was looking forward to this fight. I believe it would be funny as hell with all the Mayorga antics he has been pulling towards this fight. Its just gonna be haymakers through 4 or 5 rounds.

Vargas has been done ever since his Trinidad fight to me, I NEVER count a puncher out and Vargas IS a puncher however I saw traces of those Trinidad blows in his last outings, he was more durable against Trinidad than what he was against Mosley, De La Hoya and even in the fights in between those two that he won, he was just more succeptable to a punch, like he folded easier against these guys but this is the same guy who beat Winky Wright, regardless of any disputes to the outcome, he beat Winky and he did it very young, he goes on to fight Tito and gives ALL to Trinidad then after ALL was thrown at Tito you still had Tito coming back and KO'ing him, Vargas was clearly not the same fighter after that fight and since then I kind of kept hope in him but I didn't jump the gun on it neither, I felt like fuck it if he comes back and beats such and such then good for him but if not then regardless after taking such a beating from Tito I will always respect him, this here just proves me right because in boxing you either lose your flame or someone extinguishes it, in Vargas's case he had his fire extinguished after going out in a blaze, it was all good until he faced Trinidad then soon after he crumbled, that was no coincidence dogz believe me. like Roy and Tarver and like Castillo and Hatton the fight was beat out of the guy and thats just that, everything after is just shades and instances of what WAS and no longer what IS, imagine Vargas fighting Pavlik.. that fight wouldn't end in TKO it would end in RIP 100
Just to clarify, I bet on Vargas before the whole bloodwork issue came up and before this weight shit came to surface. I don't want to look like some asshole who willingly stakes points on fat, blownout, drained fighters past their primes. :lol1:
Fucking Fat ass Vargas! I was hoping he'd lose 'cause I never liked him, don't care much for Mayorga either, but now I really hope Mayorga kicks the shit outta that fat boy!
Mayorga will still be in good shape. He was 173 or something come fight time against de la Hoya. I was leaning towards Vargas at first, but now I think Ricardo takes this and hands that fat-ass exactly that, his fat ass. Vargas is gonna be soooo fat come fight time. Mayorga will be able to keep that range he likes and bomb away with his right hands.
SLOTOFF what the hell are you talking about, Mayorga wasn't 173 when he fought de la hoya
