LOL at the comments in this thread turns out he needed a head doctor as well :owned: . Also how funny that his corner was throwing in the towel when the fight ended guess they didn't hear his I will die before I lose bravado
That is absolutely not true.
1) Hatton was legitimately in danger of being stopped. Mayweather was never hurt.
2) The fight was one "off-balance-but-not-hurt" Collazo KD away from a draw or Louise victory.
3) Mayweather was finishing strong in his bout. Pulling away. Hatton was on fumes. He couldn't go another round.
Hatton wasn't in danger of being stopped, he wasn't even knocked down. Being hurt once is not the same as being nearly knocked out, unless you're willing to concede that Mayweather was nearly knocked out by Corley. Hatton won 115-112, 115-112, 114-113 UD. One point would have made it 115-113, 115-113, 114-114 MD. Mayweather won 116-112, 115-113, 113-115, split decision one point away from a majority draw. And Hatton may have finished badly, but fights are scored based on a round by round basis. I thought you would have known this.
Did I just enter some alternative universe where Louise Collazo became some kind of killer?
No you didn't. But he still hits harder than Baldomir, based on him having the same number of knockouts with half the number of fights. If you want to decry Collazo as "feather fisted" then be my guest, but you then have to concede that TaTa is more feather fisted than Collazo.
Collazo is smaller than carlos baldomir. Irrespective of what weights Louise has fought at.
There's probably not a great deal of difference between their size, but Luis has fought more times at a higher weight and is taller so I would lean towards Collazo being the bigger. Collazo is also better.
Once again you have Hatton who has fought smaller guys as of late and hasn't looked great doing it (Collazo)
Collazo isn't a smaller guy, Collazo turned pro at 147 lbs and has had several fights at Jr Middleweight. Collazo is bigger than anyone Mayweather has ever fought apart from Oscar De la Hoya.
And don't pretend that Mayweather's win over De La Hoya was anything other than an extremely close fight, closer in fact that Hatton's win over Collazo was.
This is a media hyped fight. Once again you have Hatton who has fought smaller guys as of late and hasn't looked great doing it (Collazo). And then you have Mayweather who just finished beating Dela hoya... Come on!!! Wake Up!!!! Not only will Mayweather be the superior boxer , he'll be the bigger guy physically. This will turn out to be a big payday for Hatton who deserves it and a sparring session for Mayweather.. This is another classic example of a media hyped fight which by the way works !!! Most part time fans get blinded by a fighters personallity or anything they see on TV.. Another clear example but not quite the same mis-match was Talyor fighting Pavlik. You had Pavlik quietly fighting all the middleweights Taylor ducked yet the media was solidlly in Taylor's corner because he buttered their bread!!! Mayweather by decision or late round TKO
Your in for the surprise of your life!!! Floyd will eat hatton up just like he did gatti!!!
:owned2: < This is me right?
You know I'll be singing that "Let's Go Ricky Hat-ton!" song through the streets LIT when he wins right?
It won't be like Gatti. Hatton won't be standing there thinking it's 98' still..
Hatton will be busy humpin all over Mayweather like a horny pit bull. :wank:
if mayweather sees hatton as anturo gatti then why take the easy fight? when is he gonna fight cotto... or mosley...
after he beats hatton i would imagine, no? .......
Mr. Hicks,
Here are some quotes from that OTHER Hatton, Arturo Gatti. Tell me if he didn't say the same things as the NEW Hatton is saying...
Gatti says the fight will come down to toughness…a quality he has proven over and over. But does Mayweather have any? “Talent wise, Mayweather is one of the most talented fighters, but I’ve been in with some really good fighters and most of them are tougher than Mayweather. He has ability, but who knows how tough he is? I’ve been in tough fights that I was able to come out of a winner.” Team Gatti maintain they’re going to pull a big surprise on fight night.
As to be expected, he had a lot to say about Mayweather's trash-talking. "For what I've done in boxing and how I've done it he should have a little more respect," reasoned Gatti (39-6, 30 KO's). "I'm going to sell the tickets. They give tickets away when Mayweather fights..."
Said Gatti in response, "I'm gonna take him somewhere he's never been. He thinks I'm a joke. I just want to punish him. I really want to hurt him.
"I would like to make this fight 12 rounds and beat the living out of him. He deserves a good spanking. He's a little boy."
We've heard it all before, Ricky... crying about not getting respect from Floyd..... saying that you are too "tough" for Floyd.... calling him a little boy....how Floyd has no fans....predicting the upset..... YAAAWWWWN
WE'VE HEARD IT ALL BEFORE. SAME GUY. SAME RESULT.
if mayweather sees hatton as anturo gatti then why take the easy fight? when is he gonna fight cotto... or mosley...
If you are p4p number 1 isn't your p4p status ALWAYS at risk. Also, what would you consider a blowout. If Floyd wins about 9 or 10 rounds but no KD'S is that a blowout? Or does Hatton have to be put to sleep (won't happen) for you to consider it such.
If Floyd wins every round but those rounds are close fought then it isn't a blowout. If Floyd wins eight rounds to four it isn't a blowout unless those eight rounds are extremely one sided. What I know I will see is a lot of gloating if Hatton loses this fight, and even if Hatton loses by a single point, even if Hatton scores knockdowns and Floyd does not, if Hatton loses an extremely tight decision, I'm still going to have to put up with morons gloating that Floyd "whupped dat azz" or some such nonsense. Conversely if Hatton wins, even if he wins an eight round beatdown with a knockout (which is far less likely than my other scenario) then there will be intolerable sour grapes by devastated Floyd fans who have to find a reason why their boy lost to a "britiss bum".
If Floyd beats Hatton then it will be because Floyd is very good, a fact that I haven't once overlooked. If you choose to believe that Floyd can beat people because the competition is bad then I'm not entirely sure what kind of a fan you are.
Bla blah blah. Have you even made a solid point in this long winded drivel???
Hatton already lost he just doesn't know it yet. There I can put it as simple as you.
If that was long winded then you must be one simple fuck .
I don't think the chances of a Hatton heart attack are very good.
If it's one thing or the other he'll win over having a coronary.
Mayweather can't handle the pressure.
Your in for the surprise of your life!!! Floyd will eat hatton up just like he did gatti!!!
Floyd has his p4p status at risk. Hatton, sitting at ninth, does not. Any sort of reasonably competitive fight will have Hatton smelling of roses, even if he loses. Of course if it is a blowout then it'll be a different story, but whoever you think is going to win, if you're sensible you would have to concede that a blowout is unlikely.
