From the way Judah looked on friday night fights on 9/7 i dont think he will be winning anymore titles.Sure he was trying to get some rounds in but even when he tried to knock the guy he couldn't.So I would say that Zab is done.He just isn't the same fighter anymore
as has been said in the past if zab wants to be a player again at the top he will have to part ways with his father who has taken him as far as he can go. It doesnt appear that He can get the right stuff out of zab to fight thru adveristy and I dont see zab gettin any better shape / performance than his displays against Mayweather or Cotto. He needs a change
I think Judah will have more left than everyone thinks. In the welter devision he could beat Berto (good fight for Zab), he could beat Witter again thinks me.
Sometimes it's not all about you, sometimes the fighter in question isn't overrated or washed up.. maybe the fighter he's fighting is just underrated or still has something left. Judah could be a force at 140. Some fighters need to make a name in a division in need of a name, while certain fighters can take on all the big names in a bigger division. Judah is the former.
People just underestimate him... Judah could easily win the belt again! He just needs a little more training and a little more determination and he's fine. With the right training Zab could seriously become a P4P player... Do you guys agree?
Maybe the guy he fought can just take a good punch every now and then.:ugh:
Zab has never been a knockout artist everyone seems to think he was.
I mean he gets ko's but he's not the type that can just ko someone at will he has to set it up and break them down then strike at the perfect time or else he doesn't get the ko.
His uppercut is nasty for sure, but he's not big or resiliant enough to beat the top guys. He's just in the wrong division at the wrong time. If anything he should try to get a couple more wins in against sub par competition, and call out a guy at 140. If not then he should move up to 154 and fight a third fight with Spinks. That makes plenty of sense.
yeh maybe..but i must say, when zab judah puts in his full speed an power on a combo, nobody does it better accept tyson..when judah throws powerful, lightning quick combos, you cant help but say "damn!"..if only he had the stamina to do that every round..it would be a wrap for all those welterwieghts
I thought he looked good. Evertime he landed that uppercut he had the guy buzzed, he just couldnt finish him.
The guys size seemed to give judah troubles as well. Tall and Lanky, had a jab too
i agree that zab didnt look impressive, but imo he is still a very skilled boxer, and if he really tries hard at another title opportunity, maybe he can give the surprise.
well, the problem is that a welterwight is going to be difficult to take a title there xD...
Yeah he's too much of an enigma as it is. I really can't say, because he still has tools, and still showed that he could compete with the top guys.
Early on, he gave both Cotto and Floyd a serious run for their money.
I suppose Mayweather is right in that he's a "front runner".........and outside of the Spinks knockout we really haven't seen Judah able to overcome some adversity and turn the pressure up to win.
Cotto has been doing that fight in, fight out. Not really to nuthug Cotto or whatever, but that's a staple of an excellent fighter.
