I think Floyd is actually paying 50 to kick it with him, that shit on 24/7 was so fake. na, their association with james prince is how they became friends, thats something i can pretty much garuntee. My opinion on this is this, this is a big money fight, in a big money venue, in a big money town. This isnt some mom and pop arena there to accomadate the little guy, or some travelling fan, its there to get people to spend money, big money, this fight is less of a sporting event and more of an attraction to GET people to spend that money. There is no place in england like vegas and people need to accept the reality of why these fights take place there, MONEY and EXPOSURE. About Hatton having more fans than Mayweather, maybe in europe, but not here. Hatton has almost no fanbase here because even with 3 fights here, the only decent one was the Castillo fight, and that wasnt exactly a barnburner. Alot of people dont really know who he is. If Hatton has more fans than mayweather or more popularity than mayweather, lets compare his PPV statistics to Mayweathers, and dont just contribute it to "oh its because of mayweathers opponents", Mayweather/Judah was HUGE in the black/hip hop community, the Baldomir fight was one where he himself was the main attraction and he still did 325k. DLH/Mayorga did 900,000 and mayorga has a far more crowd pleasing style than mayweather. To NOT attribute Mayweather to the success of the DLH ppv is denying that weather you like it or not MAYWEATHER is an attraction. One thing i do know, messageboards are not a reflection of a community as a whole, while mayweather may be universally hated here, its not the same story in the real world. Despite what many UK based posters think, Mayweather has a pretty decent fanbase, especially among the sporting community as well as a community not often mentioned on here, the BLACK community. Thats right, the BLACK community, a group of fans generally not well represented on this board. This is a big country, fans are spread out all throughout this country, they arent concentrated in 5 or 6 cities. I mean generally most black people who follow sports know who mayweather is, and his association with 50 cent also contributes to that. Alot of you people underestimate that, but then your the same people who said Wright vs Hopkins wouldnt sell and it did around 350k.

FUCK celebraties. If average people are willing to pay for and can get tickets then fuck the actors and rappers who probably get there ringside tickets for free anyway. The seat allocation should be 50/50 for each fighter. If Hatton wants more and cant get it then tough shit. the fans who cant get seats will have to watch it in a bar. Same goes for Floyds fans.

The arena is too small. Hatton is pissed off because this is his biggest fight and the fans that have followed him throughout his career will not be able to watch him ringside for it. He feels sorry for those fans. Thats all there is to it. So let him cry about it. Please refer to the thread "The greatness of Ricky Hatton" I posted a video clip of Ricky virtually taking a dump in the ring. The actual boxing action is nearly unwatchable. Meanwhile the groupies are screaming "Yeah, Ricky!!"... "Get him Ricky"... etc. That is what makes the Hatton groupies so insufferable. And leads RH to believe that he is actually an "exciting" fighter. Much of the hate that Rickety gets isn't directed so much at him, as it is reflected hate directed towards his obnoxious groupies. Also, for those who want more people in attendance: have you ever stopped to think how terrible the view would be if you put 50K fans in a stadium? I mean, come on, you'd barely be able to distinguish the three men in the ring, much less figure out who's landing the better punches. I think 20K is about the max for a boxing match. Anything more and you risk being too far away from the action and you'd be much better off just watching it on TV. The view may not be great but the experience certainly would.

Personally I can't see why Hatton's fans 'deserve' more tickets than floyd's - the remaining tickets should just be put on the net/phone and sold first come first served, so if you realy want to go - get on that phone.
