And Cotto has beat who in their prime? Everyone he has faced. And Cotto has beat who that is good? No one. Zab Judah, good for the first 4 rounds, and then he stops. Cotto might have gotten credit if he had beaten Zab in a 4 round fight, but other than that, no dice Yea but punching another man in the balls has a hard effect on the decision of the fight... If Hatton beats Mayweather then he should call Cotto to England. If he wins this and is no 1 p4p then everyone should come to Ricky. Ricky and Cotto is the next big fight imo

Cotto getting hurt Corley, Torres, Judah all hurt Miguel Cotto. (Torres even got a knock down) but didn't Cotto end up knocking out all 3 anyway? no way Cotto has a bad chin. if he did, he already would have knocked out by now. Cotto and Hatton are hard to compare, but to an extent I feel both are slightly unproven. (due to lack of prime elite opponent. which is TBD at a later date) yes they've both won world titles (at 140 and 147), and are undefeated. but unless they fight each other (doubtful) .. any chance it happens? its hard to determine who's the better of the 2. and what I mean by slightly unproven .. both Cotto and Hatton have their biggest fights of there careers coming up in later 2007. **again I would really like to see a Hatton/Cotto fight sometime in the near future. there relatively young, being 26 and 28, and have huge loyal fan bases. not to mention a victory over the other would be a pretty big fight (at welter outside of Mosley and Mayweather for the time being ... Cotto is a name Hatton might wanna consider fighting (its bigger than any 140 pounder right now) but all this is moot, because depending on how Cotto/Mosley and Mayweather/Hatton turn out. there's a lotta different sub plots and shit that could develop. who fights who .. etc.

A 36 yr old lightweight with a history of injuries and lapses of inactivity. Gosh. I've LONG been critical of Zoo. Even prior to the Hatton fight. Every time someone talked about "the great Kostya Tszyu" (esp lampley), I would always ask myself what made this guy so great. What skins did he have on the wall? I have to force some logic and consistency here: You can't praise Zoo for beating Judah, and then denigrate Judah as an opponent for somebody else... esp the April '06 Judah. Lightweight???? What made him great? A combination of things - an unbelievable amateur record, fighting former champs in his something like his 4th pro fight, winning the title in his 14th, dominating his division for the best part of a decade and destroying just about every fighter he ever faced including FAR superior versions of Judah and Mitchell to the ones that Floyd faced. BTW, Mosley's older than Tszyu when he fought Hatton and has more miles on the clock. Mosley's also nowhere on the p4p lists where as KT was top 3.

He was older, but not old and was still better than Judah. They are in their PHYSICAL primes. they aren't old men or shot due to wars. They may not be "peak". That is arguable. But 26-29 years old is mosdef prime. Except for vargas...lol Even if they are in their physical primes, no one really considers that to be what is the most important thing. No one gave Hopkins shit for losing to Jones back in 1993, because it was obvious that Hopkins didn't know what he was doing (compared to what he knows today, for god sake, he tried to outbox Jones!). Malignaggi was probably not too far off from where he is today, to be honest. But it is pretty obvious that Judah's mind is shot to pieces.

At least Cotto has beaten good fighters in their primes: Malignaggi and Judah. Hatton has not done that yet. Malignaggi was pre-prime. He's just entering his prime now. and Judah may be a little post prime
