Will Andre Ward ever make it big??

What confuses me? 1) Four years after the Olympics. and at 24 (?) years old, why isn't he making more of a splash? Comparison: Andre Berto is 23. Kelly Pavlik is 25. Chad dawson is 25. Paul Williams is 26. 2) His promoter, GTP, doesn't seem to be featuring him. I have heard more about Machito and Steve Forbes in recent weeks/months than I have about Ward. 3) Is he gonna play at MW or SMW or LHW? I wish he would fight more too. He fought 6 times in 2005 and only 3 times in 2006 due to a hand injury and 3 more times this year. Goosen said in an interview that they were bringing him along slowly. I'm sure Goosen will feature him soon though. Ward hasn't even fought a 10 round fight yet. (scheduled) And he'll probably fight at LHW

Ive seen Ward fight before,he has skills,i think he had big weight problems making middleweight,weight can effect u alot,that could have played in him being knocked down,in 2007 he moved up to light heavy,he said he feels natural at the weight,and so far hes KO'd all 3 of his opponents at that weight

Ward looks good, but he has already been rocked (and I think floored) against supposed lesser competition. We'll see if that's a sign of things to come, or just an interesting footnote to his career when he becomes a champ... yeah i hear he got knocked down against boone and rocked by kenny kost who was undefeated at the time and still won the round that he got rrocked in.

Two guys confuse me: Andre Ward and Rock Allen. I believe that Rock is with GBP. im pulling for andre because he's from my area i think he has the potential to make it big but only time will tell

yeah i hope so im from san jose and i my coach is family friends iwth the guy. all of his opponents from the start were over .500 except for late replacement julio jean, so qualitys not a problem. i do agree about him not fighting enough though. he broke his hand last year and rarely fought that year. this year hes fought what like 3 times? had that spectacular KO of francisco diaz. he's most likely fighting again on september 13th then might get another fight in november. virgill hill, his trainer, says theyre not gonna push for a title till he gets at the very least 20 fights under his belt. theyre predicting 2008 or 2009.
