It is a big fight...this will be the biggest fight of the year.
1 because everyone is waiting to see what happens
2 it is alot more than just the americans interested in this fight
3 mayweather will lose his first fight
It's only a big fight in the UK. I think people in the US are expecting Mayweather to dominate a lopsided fight. This will be a replay of the Baldomir fight...

Sadly yes. That's why there are more intriguing fights out there, not necessarily bigger.

None of that matters since he is boring as fuck to watch, obviously your brain is like 50 cents on crack. Why would a belt matter if the fights not entertaining to watch? People pay to watch boxing so they can see two guys beat the ever living shit out of each other, not to see some pussy run around the ring and only have one good fight against a punching bag named gatti which probably is his most entertaining fight ever was against gatti who was never even considered an elite.
Well in addition to the Gatti fight being exciting, there was Burton, Corrales, N'dou, Corley, Bruseles and Mitchell to name a few. But you probably haven't seen them because you jumped on the MAYWEATHER RUNS LMFAOZZZ bandwagon before you actually watched him in action.
Let me tell you why belts matter (particularly The Ring belts). They sort of signify who is good at winning their matches. They also tend to make money for people. You remember the rematch of Taylor-Hopkins II? It made more money than something like Ward-Burton (2 very exciting fighters, who got fight of the year for this fight) because both of them are excellent fighters and it was for the middleweight belts. This rematch was also made for 2 fights who connected with less than 200 punches between the two of them. Anyways, keep shooting your mouth off about boxing, considering that your 2 most recent posts show that you know nothing about it.
if floyd wins, he gets to parade his undefeated record around since his 0 losses are the only thing going for him
Yes, besides his three ring belts, five wbc belts, one ibf belt, and destruction of everyone he has faced, yes including Castillo, they fought a second time for all the haters who are dying to say, "OMFG Mayweather got a robbery decisions, he fucking sucks, Castillo 4 ever!!!1" Oh yeah, he also is ranked somewhere on the pound for pound list too I think.
Fuck you hater.
I say Calzeghe vs. Kessler. And this fight isn't even in my top 5 of personal most anticipated fights this year, mainly due to distaste for a certain boxer and my doubts that this fight will be entertaining.
That is probably true. From an objective standpoint, this actually probably is the biggest fight of 2007, for 3 of the 4 sanctioning body belts, and for the "I'm so fucking far ahead of the rest of the division" Ring Belt. Not enough love for the foreigners here in the US though, so it likely won't draw the type of viewing that it should.
this is a fight that has been talked about for 2 years and its finally gonna happen. all the other big fights (except for dlh/pbf) have been rather new and havent had as much time to build up and doesnt have as much tension as hatton/floyd.

I actually think Cotto-Mosley is a bigger fight. That one will actually be competitive...

I agree, I don't think the pre-fight hype is expecting a good fight for Hatton-Mayweather. This one is closer, and it is the new blood against the older king. It is going to be big if Cotto wins for the welterweight division.
This is definitely the second bigegst fight, easily. A few people will say Cotto-Mosley but there hasn't been half the buzz about that as there has about this oe. In fact although I don't think that it will do as much business it could even be bigger than De La Hoya vs Mayweather in terms of impact it makes on the sport of boxing.
I'm more looking forward to Haye-Mormeck, Cotto-Mosley and Pavlik-Taylor than this fight. Still it would be a great early xmas gift IF Hatton won, which ain't likely.
If hatton wins this fight, half of the mayweather fanboys would leave and never return to boxingscene.

nah not this fight...Hatton is going to get out boxed..although i would love to see him come out and rock floyd, only time will tell i guess. The best fight's will be Pavlik destroying Taylor and Cotto getting a decision over mosley...
