Miranda had already been seriously outclassed by Abraham. All you can say about Pavlik fairly now is that he's a top three MW behind Abraham and Taylor.ill have to rewatch that fight cause i thought both guys looked sloppy as hell and very one dimensional

pavlik has never needed gift decisons from the judges to win his fights, taylor's biggest wins have come from gift decisions - except taylor - hops 2, taylor actually won that fight, but at the slimmest of margins. pavlik was expected to lose against miranda, and he DOMINATED him, there was never a single moment of any round that pavlik lost. everyone that fights pavlik gets the same treatment, thy get beaten up and then knocked the fuck out. taylor needed the judges help to beat an OLD hopkins, a young kelly pavlik will knock taylor the fuck outyea.. while taylor was getting close decisions with legends such as hopkins and wright, what was pavlik doing? easily beating no-namers? their resumes are not even close.

Pavlik's hungry. Taylor isn't. Taylor's making excuses already. Pavlik isn't. Pavlik's looked impressive this year. Taylor hasn't in the least.

no... it actually WAS the first time Miranda got knocked out, or even really hurt for that matter. And hes only been down once in his entire career prior to that fight. He beat plenty of really good fighters. Miranda is, and will always be, a very good fighter, nothing more and nothing less. Howard Easman, Willie Gibbs, and Allan green were all victims, 2 of the 3 were knock out victims and Green was almost one himself. All very good fighters. Even the Abraham decision loss was VERY controversial, with 5 points being deducted total. Nobody saw that dominating performance coming, and Pavlik really put on a show with that performance. It takes a real hunger and grit to go out there and fight the fight he fought. Miranda was probably the most feared middleweight in the world going into that fight, and Pavlik laid him out He is big, he can punch hard, often and from many angles. And he is also white. You guys have overrated Pavlik for beating an Overrated Miranda. Miranda is nothing special, Taylor is. That was not The first time Miranda Got knocked out. Taylor will beat Pavlik. Mark my words Pavlik is a good fighter but i dont think he can beat Taylor. Actually this is long overdue and is going back to when Taylor fought Hopkins for the 1st time and people like you overrated Jermain Taylor... Most people have been looking at Pavlik since way before his victory over Edison Miranda, he's not something new, he's a fighter who's learned and improved after every fight he's been in recently..

Interesting. ya but the way you stated it it made no sense to talk about this fight that way at all jermaine is still the champ hes the one with the respect pavlik has to try to take it from him not the other way around

what i think pavlik has that will help him in his fight and maybe lead him to a victory is his hunger, i think he's the hungrier fighter and i think his pressure will be more effective for him against taylor. pavlik is a very intelligent fighter and although he might not be the bigger fighter, he is one of the biggest guys that taylor has faced. taylor has made a career and built a good record fighting guys his whole career that were smaller than him. pavlik on the other hand has fought guys that were middleweights and or super middleweights with the occasional jr middleweight here and there. regardless of what people think about either fighter, this fight is a great match up and a fight that should be exciting. neither guy is a slouch but i personally think that taylor sint looking forward to fighting pavlik and i think he's underestimating pavlik a bit. this is a fight that pavlik has wanted and has fought his ass off to get and i think once he gets into the ring he's going to go for the gold and give taylor one hell of a fight. there are a lot of flaws in taylors game, same with pavlik, kelly has flaws too, but one thing about pavlik is that he puts together a great game plan and goes to expose the flaws, taylor seems to come into the ring with the same game plan every time. who ever dictates the pace and who ever makes the effort to control the fight is going to win, and at this point is both these guys career i give the edge to pavlik............pavlik by UD..........in FOTY........

I agree. The reason why he looked so good with miranda is because miranda stays on the ropes. I was watching the figh with miranda and Howard Eastman and miranda was on the ropes alot and he got rocked alot too in that fight. The only way taylor is on the ropes is if he is tired. when pavlic and miranda fought Miranda stayed on the ropes all night and got a beating. So if taylor keeps the fight in the center of the ring and stay off the ropes he should out box pavlic in a unanimous descision. Miranda is a brawler type of a fighter and taylor is a skillfull boxer. Pavlic is not going to do what he did to miranda to taylor. "peeleft: unfortunately Taylor let Winky wright put him on the ropes in every single round. So much so that Steward was begging him, doing everything he could to get that message across to Taylor to stay off the ropes. He couldnt and he wont against PAvlik who will apply real pressure and force him to the ropes. The thing that impressed me about Pavlik is his power and strength, his balance, combination punching, very good jab, great chin, and ring smarts. Im not saying he would beat Winky wright although he has the straight right to split Wrights guard and hurt him, but Pavlik just matches up well against Jermain's weaknesses.

what kelly beat beat edison miranda?? anyone else? jermain went 12 competitive rounds with bhop twice went 12 close contested rounds with winky beat ouma and spinks its outright disrespectful for fools to be saying pavilak is 10Xs better and having him rated higher on their p4p list above taylor kelly really hasnt done anything i mean he's a good fighter and he's no bum but come he doesnt have half of the accomplishments that jermain does and hasnt shown that he's a better fighter than jermain i really dont understand it i guess its the same thing with these people thinking bernard hopkins wouldnt stand a chance against joe calzaghe that does not make sense at all i swear people nowadays do not know boxing 1. whoever says pavlik is 10x better and is higher on the p4p list than taylor is a fucking idiot. 2. dont look at taylor's record in black and white. look at the performances. and you will see where all the criticism and hate comes from. 3. why even bother mentioning taylor beating spinks and ouma? he kept saying how he'll blow away ouma and he never even rocked him. im not even gonna acknowledge the spinks fight (shudders). those fights might as well have never happend. 4. taylor has done more and accomplished more, but look at their recent performances. pavlik looked like the real champion while taylor looked like shit. you cant blame anyone for picking pavlik to beat taylor. its a smart choice.
