Who do you feel is the most dangerous fight for PBF?
Some say Ricky Hatton has his number.
Fans of Miguel Cotto believe their man is stronger physically and mentally.
I for one think Shane Mosley could pound him out. Possibly.
Then there's Paul Williams, the "new" Kermit Cintron, and the man Mayweather is allegedly "scared of" Antonio Margarito.
Even Felix Trinidad and Ronald Wright have talked Mayweather..
Can Mayweather be beat, and who is the best man to do it?
Mosley, Cotto, and Williams are pulling about a quarter each..
I like Hatton's chances a little better than he's been given credit.
In order:
1) Mosley
2) Hatton
3) Williams
4) Allah
How do you come to this conclusion that mayweather would kill mosley?? im dying to know.
i dont know how he came to the conclusion, but i can guess:
age
speed
reflexes
agility
footwork
skills
defense
offense
anything i left out?
omg mayweather wood kill mosley now...cotto is the man to do it then williams then hatton

Why the fuck did you add Allah to the poll - you disrespectful fucker!
Inside joke, newbie.
That's between Hoff, Dye, and myself...
It has nothing to do with the Muslim religion.
I can't believe how many people on this board can't tell how bad Williams is. I'm embarassed by you lot. It's almost as bad as when Miranda blew up (in that case there was abundant evidence of his poor skills and weak mind in the Abraham fight).
No one in that list has a real good chance of beating Floyd, but Cotto and Mosley have the best chances.
I'm with you on this, KJ.
Except for the Cotto part..
Mayweather would be forced into dispatching Cotto by mid rounds and would do so with incredible ease.
Mayweather is too much of a pussy to fight Williams.
b/c Williams is too much of a threat so him simply won't fight him not try to prove his self proclaimed GOAT status.
Mayweather has to beat the best to be the best.
"I was retired, but I'll sign to fight Hatton right now," said the American.
"Ricky Hatton cannot fight. He cannot box. He throws one punch at a time and then holds. There is no skill to what he does in the ring."
Ricky Hatton is the most over-rated fighter of the last 25 years
Floyd Mayweather
i think the next fight for Cotto is Mosley ... an old Mosley
the only one i think Cotto ..... .. maybe just maybe PBF is too fast
look, I picked Cotto but I think Mosley has an equally good shot at beating up on Floyd. Really tho many of those guys have the tools to take on and win against Floyd. The real guy holding Floyd back is Floyd. His retirement is either a PR stunt or a way to legitimize hand picking opponents based on risk vs reward. some say that is smart I think it is chicken shit and is really gonna hurt his ultimate standing regarding the GOAT status.
If I had to bet money I'd bet on Cotto to do it. If I was just speaking I'd say Mosley. I don't know if Cotto can cut off the ring against Floyd. I highly doubt he will be able to land fearsome body shots on him. Floyd can take a good punch and he won't let Cotto land on his chin. Floyd doesn't stop throwing like Judah either, and he is way more intelligent in the ring. I think Cotto would at least rough Floyd up somewhat.
They didn't fight the same exact fighters so there's no way we can measure their punching power(Who Ko'd who faster) I still believe Spinks hits harder b/c he's the bigger man and he's taller than PBF which gives him that extra leverage against opponents like him.He hits hard enough to keep Taylor at bay, so that says something about his power. I will admit his isn't known for his power. He's not a big puncher by any stretch of the imagination but, he definetly hits harder than PBF.
you have nothing to back up that statement, and there are numbers against it.
I still dont see
1) an example of something Cory does better than Floyd. (mind that i see very well that cory is very skilled, still...)
2) something explaining me how Cory has more power than Floyd, he is bigger but he stops less people (even restricting attention to 147), and some of those stoppages are due to the occasional righty vs lefty headbutt.

The 'triangle' in Boxing never quite fits.. But I must say I'm a little surprised we have a poll that has Paul Williams here as Mr. Dangerous - yet on the poll on Cotto vs. Williams a strong majority favors Miguel over PW.. On this poll we have PW as the solid frontrunner to beat PBF - I'll assume that's primarily because of Paul's awesome size; yet Cotto is shorter, with shorter arms than PBF, and Floyd is an unquestioned majority favorite over Cotto..
Is this all just because of body punching?.. (I'd assume so..)
Or is this just another way of saying basically nobody can beat PBF and Williams would have the best shot, persay..
If so - that's what 'Allah' was for.. :fing02:
Anyways, I didn't pick Williams and don't see him as an awesome threat to Mayweather because of how clearly easy it was for Margarito to block, counter, and make miss completely Williams predictable combinations..
Margarito was blocking and slipping those shots with amazing ease.
Williams ain't all that.
I think Mosley will give Mayweather the toughest test to date with Hatton a close second.. My reasoning is that Shane has hand speed and power and can take a punch.. We all saw how long it took Floyd to get over Judah's speed. Shane has speed and ring smarts to go with it.. I don't think we would see a break down late in the fight with Mosely as we saw with Zab. I personally think Floyd can't hurt Mosley... it would be the same as the direct shots he gave to Oscar, it wouldn't faze him.
Hatton would have to have a spectacular night.. similar to the one he had with Castillo or better yet Kostya. If he can rise to the occasion and put pressure all over Mayweather he can definately win.. but he needs to be relentless like his life depended on it.
A toss up would be Mayweather versus Cotto.. Floyd could get on the bicycle all night versus Miguel and make it a boring fight that he would win. But if Cotto can catch and hurt Mayweather he can stop him. I've been impressed with Cotto's new found consistancy. If he finds something that works against Floyd he'll exploit it all night.. but still there are too many ifs to be sure in this one.
I actually think Williams would be the easiest opponent for Floyd.. Mayweather would just run circles around him and catch him with hooks all night long. I can actually see Mayweather stopping Williams in this one depending on how agressive Williams is.. The more agressive he is the easier it will be for Floyd to beat him.
I believe he is just as fast, is a better boxer, and hits harder cuz of course he's the bigger man. I don't really look at who they fought b/c they didn't fight the exact same ppl so there's no real way to measure. Spinks has fought the bigger men his whole career. 147-160. I considered Spinks to be on equal terms with most of the fighters in 147. Mayweather started all the way from 130 and he seemed kinda big for 130. He was awesome at that weight class perhaps he would've been able to take on Prince Naz or Barrera, Morales, Pacman, Marquez, or some others if he stayed.
