Not to sad tbh i knew he lost it because of his past few fights he went out fighting n not running n will always be remembered for the wars and his come forward style. I'm just glad he's out of boxing now. He could've been seriously hurt if he went in with a real puncher.
It wasn't sad to me. I thought it was unintentionally funny so I'll always remember him well. There were moments that made it the night's comedy match imo. Gatti has nothing to be ashamed of, he tried his best.
its never good for a fighter to get demolished like that and i hope hes okay, as he was a great entertainer, but im kinda glad his career has ended like it has. People always talked him like he was a all time great or hall of famer but in reality he has always been a C maybe maybe a B class fighter and his last fights have proven that. He was a product of good match making and whenever he stepped up he proved he wasnt in the same league. hopefully now people can see he was just a great entertainer, a fighter who could take a beating and still fight back but nothing more.
shut up un7ouchable and show some respect..you've only been on this forum for 4 months..
I was at that fight and it was very sad to watch..particularly how much Gatti was trying to change himself...he dropped 'Thunder' from his name during the introduction, he also dropped AC/DC's Thunderstruck song as well, refused to trade or brawl, even when he was being dealt final blows by Gomez, and he would never counterpunch! Gomez looked sharp but Gatti was doing a good job making him miss and had good ducking/headmovement, just never threw punches
If I fought this dude on the street (weighing twice his weight) I would respect this M.F.er like the champion he is. He has balls of steel, and everybody gets old. Win, lose, or draw, I would respect his ass for not running, period! Fans love Gatti for a reason!
