Whoever wins, I'd be proud of, but I say Hopkins eeks out a decision. If so, he should go ahead and retire. If Winky wins, he should have one more fight with the winner of Calzaghe-Kessler or Taylor-Pavlik and hopefully retire at 53-3-1..

i say hopkins wins because of his movement and in and out style. with the way winky plods forward behind his jab and turtle defense, i think hopkins is going to circle, create openings, and be moving in and out too much for wright to really get anything off.
this fight is going to be a battle of discipline and experience and who comes in and uses the correct game plan.
No way Hopkins lands those ridiculous lead rights on Winky. I think Hopkins could make a perfect opponent for him. Winky by clear but competitive decision.
But I'm not sure.
See...there you go.
Hops could land that Straight right lead on Ronalds face.
Nobody beats Hops by Clear decesion...when was the last time that happened ? and to boot...by a much smaller man?
hmmm...
draw maybe...
This one is hard to choose and I wouldn't doubt if there was a draw. I have to go with Hopkins in this one by SD, just because like Welter said the bigger boxer usually beats the smaller boxer. If Winky was power puncher then I might lean toward him, but he isn't so I'll take Hopkins.

Its the OLD cliche.. The Good Big Boxers always beats The small Good boxer..
I also hear that Winky is going to alter his game plan.. You know the one that has worked SO WELL for him over the years..???
That can't be a Good thing... it means he doubts himself
:boxing: Who wins this one? :boxing:
Be advised this is just one of many "Official Wright vs BHop" threads; I guarantee Kball, Sin, Elite, Canada Joe, and Bigpoopa create their own official threads.... :dunno:
Funny thing is...I think Wright took some damaging shots from the Taylor fight and I actually think that Old man Hops could stun Wright with that lead right hand just like he did against Robert Allen.
I aint saying that Hops will hurt or stop Wright but I do believe that he will outsmart and find a way to win a decisive decesion.
I dunno just my take on it...feel free to agree or disagree...
i think winky will be way out of his best weight when he fights hopkins at 170. shit, winky used to be the jr middleweight champion at 154.
i think the only fighter to go from jr middleweight to LHW champion is ray leonard.
Ray Leonard fought at Middleweight a few times in his late career, when he was returning from retirement after retirement.
he never went up past middleweight...
ANd Ray Robinson went up to 175, but was stopped by Maxim due to exhaustion.
anyway, WInky is apparently very strogn and just as quick as always. SO i dont think the size will be to much of a problem, although if im making the betting odds i may make HOPKINS a slight favorite
If Hopkins is able to sustain a decent pace, circling and shooting the right hand through the guard for 12 rounds, I think he will win a close decision.
I think it might be another hugfest ala Hatton, as Hopkins will step in with one punch, hold and circle to the side to prevent Winky from being active.
It won't be pretty, but it is effective.
