I think UFC, Pride has more appeal to Pro Wrestling fans than boxing fans

I dunno. I think that it's popular because of the demographic it draws in. Suburban kids who aint hip-hop. Thats who I see watching UFC. You know those stereotypical surfer types, that you see on these MTV shows. I agree,but i also think alot of wrestling fans watch UFC,its like a dream come true to some of them,real fighting with wrestling & MMA backgrounds

No doubt about it considering MMA news is reported just as much as wrestling news on Wrestling News sites. Every wrestling forum on the net has a special little corner to discuss MMA.

I agree 100% UFC also used to come on after Raw on Spike TV if I'm not mistaken. That helped them a lot because the viewers would stick around to see whats on after and they caught on. Now they show TNA on Spike too.

I gave my thoughts on what kinda fans it attracts.

UFC is hokey and largely staged, the superior wrestler should always win, these guys like Cro Cop and everything, they can only win if matched with the correct opponent. A great wrestler is a master of take downs and not even the best striker will stop him, he can submit anybody in like 30 seconds. :tool: :fu2: :wt:

But that wouldn't be entertaining, and pure wrestling (two master wrestlers against each other) is not a popular attraction.

I've actually thought the same exact thing for a while now. Obviously there are UFC fans who are/were not pro wrestling fans, but I think there's a large percentage of UFC fans who mirgrated from pro wrestling.

I agree!!! All that rolling on the ground sucks!!! That's not the point. I'm not saying it has crossover appeal with Pro Wrestling fans because of the wrestling element in UFC. It does for other reasons, like the way's its marketed and the overall presenatation.
